WEEK OF OCTOBER 13, 2025
PUMPKIN PATCH BEING THERE EXPERIENCE
Our first trip of the year is to the pumpkin patch at Joan’s Farm in Livermore. We will be going on Tuesday, October 21. The cost is $20 and includes: a pumpkin from the patch, the maze, the slide, pumpkin bowling, little train, obstacle course, kids corral, and a cup of animal feed to feed the animals.
Permission slips and money are due by Wednesday, October 15. Late permission slips will not be guaranteed to get a school lunch. Siblings are welcome to attend, but must also pay if they are old enough to participate in the activities. Parents are free. Parents are welcome to purchase additional pumpkins at the patch if they like.
CALIFORNIA SHAKEOUT-EARTHQUAKE DRILL
Students will be practicing our earthquake drill, DROP, COVER, HOLD ON, on Thursday, October 16. Families are encouraged to also practice at home!
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Family Movie Night is Thursday, October 16. The movie will be Lilo & Stitch. The gates open at 6:30 and the movie starts at 7:00. The movie will be shown outside. Bring blankets, chairs, snacks, etc. Snacks will also be available for purchase.
PERSONAL SAFETY UPDATE
Students will begin belt testing in the next few weeks. Attached is the Personal Safety Creed for students to practice. Different groups will have different requirements/expectations for their individual belt test. If your student is not clear about what they need to be practicing for their belt test, please let us know and we can find out more information for your specific student.
SNACK CALENDAR
Attached to this email are the snack calendars for October. Please feel free to either bring in your assigned snack or make a $15 donation for the purchase of the snack and the teachers will do the shopping for you. Thanks for all your support.

EXPERIENCIA DE VIVIR EN EL HUERTO DE CALABAZAS
Nuestra primera excursión del año es al huerto de calabazas de Joan’s Farm en Livermore. Iremos el martes 21 de octubre. El costo es de $20 e incluye: una calabaza del huerto, el laberinto, el tobogán, bolos con calabazas, un trencito, una carrera de obstáculos, un corral infantil y un vaso de alimento para los animales.
Los permisos y el dinero deben entregarse antes del miércoles 15 de octubre. Los permisos entregados fuera de plazo no garantizan el almuerzo escolar. Los hermanos pueden asistir, pero también deben pagar si tienen la edad suficiente para participar en las actividades. La entrada para los padres es gratuita. Si lo desean, pueden comprar calabazas adicionales en el huerto.
SIMULACRO DE TERREMOTO “SHAKE OUT” DE CALIFORNIA
El jueves 16 de octubre, los estudiantes practicarán nuestro simulacro de terremoto: “AGÁCHATE, CÚBRETE, AGÁRATE” (¡Agáchate, Cúbrete, Agárrate!). ¡Se anima a las familias a practicar también en casa!
NOCHE DE CINE FAMILIAR
El jueves 16 de octubre, la noche de cine familiar será la película “Lilo y Stitch”. Las puertas abren a las 6:30 p. m. y la película comienza a las 7:00 p. m. La película se proyectará al aire libre. Traigan mantas, sillas, refrigerios, etc. También habrá refrigerios disponibles para comprar.
ACTUALIZACIÓN SOBRE SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Los estudiantes comenzarán la prueba de cinturón en las próximas semanas. Se adjunta el Credo de Seguridad Personal para que los estudiantes practiquen. Cada grupo tendrá diferentes requisitos/expectativas para su prueba de cinturón individual. Si su estudiante no tiene claro qué debe practicar para su prueba de cinturón, por favor, avísenos para que podamos encontrar más información específica para él.
CALENDARIO DE MERIENDAS
Adjunto a este correo electrónico los calendarios de meriendas de octubre. Pueden traer la merienda que les corresponde o hacer una donación de $15 para comprarla; los maestros se encargarán de la compra. Gracias por todo su apoyo.
