CAASPP Testing Info

7th and 8th graders will take state CAASPP assessments every day the week of May 20th.

Please make every effort to schedule appointments so that students will be in school during this time.

 

7th grade families ONLY

For next year, 2024-2025, please let us know which sport your student is interested in playing, which sport you would be interested in coaching, which sport you would be interested in being a team parent for, and which sport you would like to be a staff representative at by completing the Student Athletic Program Interest Survey (google.com) by May 23.

 

8th Grade

 

7th Grade

Graduation is coming up (Tuesday June 4th)! Traditionally 7th grade parents and 7th graders are our main source of volunteers.  Here is what we need:

  • Someone who can talk with Home Depot/Lowes about borrowing plants for graduation and transporting them to and from the event
  • Parents and 7th grade students willing to help set up/break down the day of

Homework – Week of May 20 – May 24

 

Reading (Monday-Friday)
Students should read for at least 1 hour a day, students will have some time at school to complete this assignment on days that they do not have science.

Page Tracker: 825 Pages by the end of the week. The trimester goal is still 750 pages, but I am going to continue the tracker to encourage students to read past the class goal.

This week students will have a science reading assignment in google classroom.  They will have time to work on their SPA prototype.

 

Math

This week students will be reviewing for and taking the CAASPP.

 

SPA (Social Political Action Project) 

Third trimester theme is “Innovation”.  This trimester students will work toward to innovate or invent a solution to a problem.  Phase 2 has started.  Students are working alone or with a group to create a prototype/model of their innovation.  They will present their research and solution to a panel of “sharks” on Monday, June 3rd.

Información de prueba CAASPP
Los estudiantes de 7.º y 8.º grado tomarán las evaluaciones estatales CAASPP todos los días de la semana del 20 de mayo.
Haga todo lo posible para programar citas para que los estudiantes estén en la escuela durante este tiempo.

SOLO familias de 7mo grado
Para el próximo año, 2024-2025, háganos saber qué deporte le interesa jugar a su estudiante, qué deporte le interesaría entrenar, en qué deporte le interesaría ser padre de equipo y en qué deporte le gustaría participar. Sea un representante del personal completando la Encuesta de interés del programa atlético para estudiantes (google.com) antes del 23 de mayo.

Octavo grado
• Envíe fotos para presentación de diapositivas (a https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xYvopgAmEqtKp7V_G-qbCIUqc_wEE4lH?usp=drive_link) antes del 22 de MAYO

Séptimo grado
¡Se acerca la graduación (martes 4 de junio)! Tradicionalmente, los padres y estudiantes de séptimo grado son nuestra principal fuente de voluntarios. Esto es lo que necesitamos:

Tarea – Semana del 20 de mayo al 24 de mayo

Lectura (lunes a viernes)
Los estudiantes deben leer al menos 1 hora al día, los estudiantes tendrán algo de tiempo en la escuela para completar esta tarea los días que no tengan ciencias.

Rastreador de páginas: 825 páginas al final de la semana. La meta trimestral sigue siendo 750 páginas, pero continuaré con el seguimiento para alentar a los estudiantes a leer más allá de la meta de la clase.

Esta semana los estudiantes tendrán una tarea de lectura de ciencias en el aula de Google. Tendrán tiempo para trabajar en su prototipo de SPA.

Matemáticas
Esta semana los estudiantes revisarán y tomarán el CAASPP.

SPA (Proyecto de Acción Política Social)
El tema del tercer trimestre es “Innovación”. Este trimestre los estudiantes trabajarán para innovar o inventar una solución a un problema. La fase 2 ha comenzado. Los estudiantes trabajan solos o con un grupo para crear un prototipo/modelo de su innovación. Presentarán su investigación y solución ante un panel de “tiburones” el lunes 3 de junio.
