- 1. State Testing Dates: Make sure you do not schedule any appointments/trips/etc during these dates. It is very DIFFICULT on your student if they miss a test(s) and have to make them up. Testing takes place in the mornings.

- 2. Food, Inc. Projectdue dates (all due dates are graded):
Friday, May 24 – all 5 parts are due & checked off
Thursday, May 30 – present project to teachers/peers
Tuesday, June 4 – Farmer’s Market – present projects & prepared food to whole school
- Concert on the Green – on May 21st, starting at 6pm, come watch our music classes perform. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets! There will be a Food Truck available for dinner! We have a lot of middle school students in the music program (choir, instrumental, & rock band).
4.. 8th Grade Graduation takes place at the Antioch Community Center, in the ballroom, on Wednesday, June 5th at 4:30pm. Everyone is invited to come & celebrate our 8th grade students!
Week 5: Food, Inc
This Week’s Assignments/Homework: not inclusive – assignments may be added. Class assignments not finished during class become homework.
- Vocabulary: 10 minutes a day on Membean
- Literature Book: Omnivore’s Dilemma; pacing guide for reading, RJW + Reflection due on Fridays, quiz on Fridays
- CommonLit: A Lesson in Farming, Classroom to Cafeteria; due Friday
- Writing: In class choose a partner to research one of the following food borne illnesses (see attachment for details); due Friday
- Math: CPM, Khan, POD, pacing guide with due dates, assessments on Fridays
- Science “Nutrition”: participation & assignments; due on Science day
- Food, Inc Project: continue creating a booth to present to class/school; see due dates at beginning of email.
