Dear Families,
We are excited to share that our school has officially reached the 100th day of school for the 2025-2026 school year! This is a big milestone and a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how much your student has grown so far this year.
In these first 100 days, students have worked hard to build strong routines, develop academic skills, and grow as learners and classmates. It’s especially amazing to see how much Primary students grow in such a short amount of time.
To celebrate the 100th day, students in Primary will spend time reflecting on what they have already accomplished and thinking about what they would like to achieve by the end of the school year. Each student sets a personal goal—whether academic, social, or behavioral—that they will continue working toward in the coming months. We talked about how setting goals and trying our best helps us grow and be proud of our progress.
Thank you for your continued support at home. We are looking forward to all the learning, growth, and successes still to come as we move toward the end of the school year!

HIGHLIGHTS 
Electives: We want to take this opportunity to give a “Shout Out” to our wonderful 2nd trimester elective volunteers: Ms Sanders & Mr. Ramos. One of the reasons our school is successful is because of people like you who are willing to invest in our students!
Believe it or not, it is time to start planning for our 3rd trimester. 3rd trimester afternoon electives for our 4-8th grade students runs March 16–June 5th from 2:05-3pm on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fridays (Fridays are for Middle School students only).
We are looking for adults who are willing to teach/supervise an assortment of activities. The elective program at our school is vitally important part of our curriculum. These classes offer students the opportunities to explore new areas of interest, opening their minds to new possibilities for themselves. Our hope is to offer at least 9 different options for students to choose from on each day. This is only possible if our wonderful ACA community volunteers to help!!
Ideas for classes are: arts & crafts, sewing, knitting, crochet, language classes (ASL, Spanish, etc), sports (basketball, kickball, soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, etc), cooking, gardening, yoga, photography, board games, chess, wood working, and the list can go on and on – teach what you enjoy!
If you can donate an hour of your time, once a week for the next trimester, to help teach or supervise a class, please let us know ASAP!!! You can also team up with a friend to teach a class, and you do not need to have a student in the 4-8th grade classes to help!!
If you are interested in teaching a 3rd trimester elective, respond to this email, or let the office know by Monday, February 23rd!
ELPAC TESTING: February through May is the ELPAC testing window. The ELPAC test is administered to students who are identified as English Language Learners upon enrollment at ACA. Students are tested annually. Students who reclassify will not need to take the test next year. Student scores will be released to parents in June 2026.

ACA Lottery 2026-27: Lottery for ACA I will be conducted Tuesday March 3, 2026. All new students, including siblings of current students, must complete an application for the lottery if they are interested in enrolling in the 2026-27 school year. Students turning 5 years old by September 1, 2026 are eligible for Kindergarten. Students turning 4 years old by September 1, 2026 are eligible for TK. UPCOMING & ONGOING SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Flag Football: Games are on Thursdays. Boys game time is 3:30 and girls 4:30. All games are played at our opponents’ home field. Come out and cheer for our teams! See attached schedule.
Family Network Meetings are the second Friday of each month at 3pm. The board welcomes and encourages all ACA families to attend the meetings. Check with the calendar. below to find out the next meeting. See attached document for this school’s year schedule
Charter Council: The Charter Council is our governing board. The board meets usually on the second Thursday of the month @ 4PM. Please check the calendar for the next meeting date/time, or call the office at 925-755-7311 to confirm. These meetings are open to the public – all are welcomed!

School Lunch Order Form – https://forms.gle/
You MUST order meals in advance in order to receive them or else we may not have a meal available for your student. Breakfast and Supper will be the same for all students, while lunch has a menu that you can choose one entree from. No delivery services are allowed on campus.
Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late. If your student needs to depart early, the person picking up the child must call the office at (925) 755-7311 so the office can retrieve the student prior to walking into the office to sign out their student. Please remember to request an “Independent Study” or “IS” every time you email/call to report an absence. This helps the school, which helps your student!
Clothes Donation Bin: is a great way to have our unclaimed lost and found items find a new home, and it is actually a form of fund raising for the school. When people donate clothes, the owners of the bin, Tree Machine, will give money to the school. The bin is for clothes only. Please make sure to bag the clothes before you put them in the bin. Thank You.

¡Nos complace compartir que nuestra escuela ha alcanzado oficialmente el día número 100 del año escolar 2025-2026! Este es un gran hito y una maravillosa oportunidad para reflexionar sobre cuánto ha crecido su hijo/a en lo que va del año.
En estos primeros 100 días, los estudiantes han trabajado arduamente para establecer rutinas sólidas, desarrollar habilidades académicas y crecer como aprendices y compañeros de clase. Es especialmente asombroso ver cuánto crecen los estudiantes de primaria en tan poco tiempo.
Para celebrar el día número 100, los estudiantes de primaria dedicarán tiempo a reflexionar sobre lo que ya han logrado y a pensar en lo que les gustaría lograr para el final del año escolar. Cada estudiante establece una meta personal, ya sea académica, social o de comportamiento, en la que continuará trabajando durante los próximos meses. Hablamos sobre cómo establecer metas y esforzarnos al máximo nos ayuda a crecer y a sentirnos orgullosos de nuestro progreso.
Gracias por su continuo apoyo en casa. ¡Esperamos con ansias todo el aprendizaje, el crecimiento y los éxitos que aún están por venir a medida que nos acercamos al final del año escolar!

Clases optativas: Queremos aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecer a nuestros maravillosos voluntarios de las clases optativas del segundo trimestre: la Sra. Sanders y el Sr. Ramos. Una de las razones del éxito de nuestra escuela es gracias a personas como ustedes, que están dispuestas a invertir en nuestros estudiantes.
Aunque parezca mentira, ya es hora de empezar a planificar el tercer trimestre.
Las clases optativas de la tarde para los estudiantes de 4.º a 8.º grado se impartirán del 16 de marzo al 5 de junio, de 2:05 a 3:00 p. m., los lunes, martes, jueves y viernes (los viernes son solo para estudiantes de secundaria).
Buscamos adultos dispuestos a impartir o supervisar diversas actividades. El programa de clases optativas es una parte vital de nuestro currículo. Estas clases ofrecen a los estudiantes la oportunidad de explorar nuevas áreas de interés, abriendo sus mentes a nuevas posibilidades. Esperamos ofrecer al menos nueve opciones diferentes para que los estudiantes elijan cada día. Esto solo es posible si nuestra maravillosa comunidad de ACA se ofrece como voluntaria.
Algunas ideas para las clases son: manualidades, costura, tejido, ganchillo, clases de idiomas (lengua de señas americana, español, etc.), deportes (baloncesto, kickball, fútbol, sóftbol, ultimate frisbee, voleibol, etc.), cocina, jardinería, yoga, fotografía, juegos de mesa, ajedrez, carpintería, y la lista continúa: ¡enseñen lo que les apasiona!
Si pueden dedicar una hora a la semana durante el próximo trimestre para ayudar a impartir o supervisar una clase, ¡por favor, avísennos lo antes posible! También pueden formar equipo con un amigo para impartir una clase, y no es necesario tener un hijo en los grados 4.º a 8.º para participar.
Si están interesados en impartir una clase optativa en el tercer trimestre, respondan a este correo electrónico o comuníquense con la oficina antes del lunes 23 de febrero.
PRUEBAS ELPAC: El período de pruebas ELPAC es de febrero a mayo. La prueba ELPAC se administra a los estudiantes que son identificados como aprendices del idioma inglés al inscribirse en ACA. Los estudiantes se someten a la prueba anualmente. Los estudiantes que se reclasifiquen no necesitarán tomar la prueba el próximo año.
