ACA Primary Newsletter 1/26/26

This week we will learn about groundhogs to get ready for groundhog day next week. We will learn about predictions and tie this into our weather unit we are about to begin! Lots of fun science this week!

Toucans and Chinchillas have been working on their weekly contracts for 2 weeks now and are doing an amazing job- most of them completing five jobs a day!

This week 1/26-1/30 we will have school Kindness week- every day we will have a spirit day to celebrate!

Monday 1/26- creative kindness (anything but a backpack day)

Tuesday 1/27- Crazy for kindness (crazy hair, socks or clothes day)

Wednesday 1/28- school spirit (wednesday shirts day)

Thursday 1/29- I dream of kindness (pajama day)

Friday 1/30- Share the kindness (Twin/group matching day)

We will be going on our annual ice skating trip to The Dublin ice rink on Thursday February 26th. The cost is $12 per skater.

Permission slip is attached to this email- and was sent home last week.

Below we have attached the skeleton calendar for next school year with all major breaks and holidays for the 26/27 school year .

We know many parents are beginning to purchase Valentines for students to pass out to their classmates. We keep our celebration fairly small. Students will do fun art projects and exchange with each other during our overlap time at 11:15. We ask that if your child decides to bring Valentines they bring them for their carpet group OR for the entire class- not individual valentines.

Please make sure Valentines are not personally addressed- and only your child signing their own name- as it takes too long to pass out labeled valentines.
