Students in the Chinchilla and Toucan group will begin work on their weekly contracts this week. This is a list of work that they will keep with them all week long with the goal of doing all the jobs listed. Their goal right now is to do five jobs a day to begin and soon move to the goal of six jobs in a day. This is to help get them organized for then they move into the elementary classroom and help them complete a variety of jobs every week instead of always choosing the same thing to work on.
Make sure you ask your student how they liked their new contract when they get home from school today.
PAJAMA DAY!
Tomorrow January 13th is pajama day! Students are welcome to come in pajamas but please make sure they are able to participate in all indoor and outdoor activities. PLease no stuffies in class.
KINDNESS WEEK
Next week we will have school Kindness week- every day we will have a spirit day to celebrate!
Monday- creative kindness (anything but a backpack day0
Tuesday- Crazy for kindness (crazy hair, socks or clothes day)
Wednesday- school spirit (wednesday shirts day)
Thursday- I dream of kindness (pajama day)
Friday- Share the kindness (Twin/group matching day)
CLASS TARDIES
We wanted to make parents aware that every 15 tardies equals one day absent in the classroom. We have about half of the Primary families come to school 5 to10 or more minutes late every day. We want to make parents aware that we will be tracking tardies now every day and sending home notices to those who exceed 10 tardies from this point on in the school year.
