Staying Healthy During Cold & Flu Season 🍎🧼Cold and flu season is here, and our goal is to keep our students, staff, and families as healthy as possible! While sniffles and coughs are common this time of year, there are many simple steps we can all take to reduce the spread of illness and support strong, healthy bodies.

🖐️ Wash Those Hands!

  • Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially before eating and after using the restroom.

  • If soap and water aren’t available, hand sanitizer is a good backup.

  • At school, students are reminded to wash hands throughout the day.

🤧 Cover Coughs & Sneezes: Teach your child to:

  • Cough or sneeze into their elbow, not their hands.

  • Use a tissue when needed and throw it away right away.

  • Wash hands after coughing or sneezing.

🏠 Stay Home When Sick.

  • Please keep students home if they have a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea.

  • Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.

😴 Rest Matters

Adequate sleep supports immune health and learning.

  • Elementary students typically need 9–11 hours of sleep.

  • Middle school students need 8–10 hours each night.

🧴 Keep Germs in Check

Our school continues regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces, and classrooms are stocked with soap and tissues. Families can help by sending:

  • A labeled water bottle

  • Tissues (optional but appreciated!)

❤️ We’re in This Together

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy and thriving. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Wishing everyone a healthy season ahead!

Sincerely, Mrs. Cordova

School Lunch Order Form – https://forms.gle/rZ1t5W7mzwJnxkXY8

You MUST order meals in advance in order to receive them or else we may not have a meal available for your student. Breakfast and Supper will be the same for all students, while lunch has a menu that you can choose one entree from.  No delivery services are allowed on campus.

Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late. If your student needs to depart early, the person picking up the child must call the office at (925) 755-7311 so the office can retrieve the student prior to walking into the office to sign out their student. Please remember to request an “Independent Study” or “IS” every time you email/call to report an absence.  This helps the school, which helps your student!

Clothes Donation Bin: is a great way to have our unclaimed lost and found items find a new home, and it is actually a form of fund raising for the school. When people donate clothes, the owners of the bin, Tree Machine, will give money to the school. The bin is for clothes only.  Please make sure to bag the clothes before you put them in the bin.  Thank You.

Atentamente, Sra. Cordova
