Welcome back! We hope everyone had a restful break! We will begin working on our class musical with the first grade students this week. We will also go back to our normal routines and students will have daily contracts with five or six jobs to complete each day.
NUTCRACKER EL CAMPANIL THEATRE
This Thursday December 4th we will go to El Campanil theatre in antioch to see the Nutcracker ballet. Please make sure your child arrives at school on time so we can all make it to the play.
Even if your child will not be at the play- if you choose to send them to school, we will be having a minimum day schedule for primary students with everyone attending school from 8:15-12pm.
FLURRY OF FUN NIGHT
Thursday December 11th will be our annual Family Flurry of Fun Night. This is a free event for families to come enjoy. We will have face painting, hot cocoa, smores, art projects and games. There will also be raffle baskets created by classrooms that parents can buy tickets for- and a drawing at the end of the night. We hope to see you there!
CLASS MUSICAL
Our class musical this year is called ‘Patterns in the Sky’. It is about the solar system to reinforce the learning we are doing for our science lessons in class. We will perform our play with the first grade students.
Be on the lookout for an email this week with the part your child has chosen and simple costume ideas for each part.
We will perform our play on Friday December 19th- more info to follow
