Good morning ACA Family!

Here at ACA, we believe students learn best when they take the lead! Our project-based learning philosophy encourages curiosity, creativity, and real-world problem solving. Students design and direct their own projects, while asking big questions, collaborating with peers, and connecting their learning to the community. By giving students voice and choice, we help them develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. We’re proud to nurture thinkers, creators, and leaders who are ready to make a difference.

Come out this Thursday, to the Fall Fair, to see this project based learning in action! The students from our Fundraising Elective have created an event for our ACA community to experience with games, dancing, food, and a haunted house!

See you all there :)

Best Wishes,

Andi Stahler

Senior Executive Assistant

Fall Fair: On Thursday, Oct 30 from 5:30-7pm, the Fundraising Elective is putting on a Fall Fair for the whole school!  Come enjoy an old fashioned family friendly evening with music, games, food, and even a Haunted House.  Tickets for food & activities will be sold at the event! All profits will go toward the Middle School class.

October 31 @ 10am: Join the Family Network for a Boo-Hoo Coffee Social starting at 10:00AM! Connect with other parents and learn how to support events here at ACA! Everyone is Welcome!

October 31st School Families Costume Parade & Trick or Treating (optional).  Around 11am, we will have our annual School Families “Trick or Treating”, and costume parade. Parents are welcome to come watch. Students who do not want to participate will have a supervised room set-aside for them where they can play board games during the activities, or they can be signed out by a parent/guardian around 11am. This is a minimum day – pick up time is at 12pm. The morning is a normal learning day for all students, except students will be able to wear their costumes to school, if they choose. No masks, weapons, or gore are allowed. Students must still be able to participate in learning, so no costumes which would hinder school work (school dress codes still apply). During the trick or treating & parade, parents are requested to OBSERVE the activities, and NOT take students away from their School Family groups.  The middle school students are in charge of their small groups, and it stresses them out when parents pull their students away. PLEASE take individual/group pictures after the parade…thank you in advance!

Dining for Dollars: Join us for dinner on Friday, October 31st at ANY Panda Express restaurant nationwide. This makes it very easy for family and friends to support our school. You may place a pre-order. The code is valid 7 days prior to the event date. Just make sure to enter the event code 9007154 in the Fundraiser Code box during online checkout at www.pandaexpress.com or via App. Please share the fundraising link or the attached flyer with anyone and everyone who might like to participate. Thank you for your support!

Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late.
