ACA Primary Newsletter 8/25/2025

As we said last week- we will send out a newsletter every monday from our classroom to let you know what’s happening. This week we are learning each other’s names, all of our procedures, and having general lessons on fun jobs such as legos and blocks. We will also start doing some planting in our garden boxes and get to go to our first music class this week!

Our classrooms back to school night will be Tuesday August 26th at 6pm in room 5. Please make sure a parent is able to attend to get important information about our classroom and paperwork to fill out for their child.

Please no children at back to school night.

to help us differentiate groups in class- each group chooses a name. This year the first continent we will be studying in South America. Students have chosen South American animals as their group names. Please make sure to ask your child which group they are in when they get home today :)

We have :

AM K- Chinchillas

AM K- Toucans

PM/TK- Flamingos

AM Chinchillas AND Toucans – 8:15-12PM m-f

PM Flamingos – 11:15-12 m,t,th,f 8:15-12pm- wednesday

Because we have such a short school day (under 4 hours each day) we do not have students eat lunch at school. Students beginning school at 8:15 wil eat after school ends and students starting school at 11:15- we ask that they eat before they come to class.

We will have a snack provided in class each day- so do not feel like you have to pack a snack for your child. We will talk more about snack procedures at back to school night.

We do have some birthdays next week during school so we just wanted to give some guidelines about celebrations. If parents would like to bring in treats or a goody bag to share please make sure whatever you are bringing is nut free.

The students will sing to their classmates doing our very special Montessori celebration- but we do not have the time during the day to have families attend, blow out candles etc.

If your child has any allergies we should be aware of or if your child does not participate in Birthday celebrations- please let us know asap :)
