Announcements (Important – please read):
1. EE small group trips to Family Harvest Farm: Our next trip to the farm is this Friday, April 4. If your student is going that day, please consider driving. The trip runs from 9:40~12pm. Drivers need to have a copy of their 100,000/300,000 liability car insurance on file in the office to drive. Students not attending the farm will do EE assignments at school. We are currently working on sending each small group out to the farm one more time (April/May), and a celebration trip for the whole class in June. Please look for the new dates in future emails
2. Yearbooks are for sale. The Yearbook Elective raised enough funds for each 8th grade student to receive a free yearbook. They have received a link in their google classroom account, and have until April 11th to customize it.
3. Los Angeles student contract & expectations form will be sent home via DocHub tomorrow. We went over the contract/expectations with the students today in class, but we ask that you go over it with them too. Please sign and return the form ASAP, then we will have your student sign the form in class. Thank you!
Week 6 – Entrepreneur & Shark Tank
This unit is a continuation of Human Centered Design (HCD). Students will now take their design from the HCD unit, continue to refine it – or create a new design – and then go through the process of creating a business. At the end of the unit, students will present their business to the class, and then to a Shark Tank (community members).
