Welcome back, everyone!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and relaxation. It’s so exciting to see all of you back in school, ready to start a fresh new year of learning, growth, and fun. To our students, we can’t wait to hear about your holiday adventures and see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish in the months ahead.
Parents, thank you for your continued support as we work together to make this a fantastic school year. Here’s to a successful and happy start to the second half of the year! Let’s make it the best one yet!

ANNOUNCEMENTS 
ACA Lottery 2025-26 FAQ’s:
Admission preference goes in the order that follows: Children of Staff or Faculty, Siblings of students currently at ACA, Residents of the District.
Lottery for ACA I will be conducted Tuesday March 4th, 2025
The Charter School will conduct the annual lottery within the first week of March, a computer program will generate random numbers for each applicant.
After all openings have been filled, the remaining applicants will be placed on the current waitlist based on the lottery number assigned and can be admitted if spaces open up during the school year.

UPCOMING & ONGOING SCHOOL EVENTS 
Charter Council: The Charter Council is our governing board. The board meets usually on the second Thursday of the month @ 4PM. Please check the calendar for the next meeting date/time, or call the office at 925-755-7311 to confirm. These meetings are open to the public – all are welcomed!
FAMILY NETWORK (FN) HAPPENINGS 
The ACA Family Network is made up of ACA adults who volunteer for fundraisers and social events for the enrichment of our children. The money we raise goes back to our school for study trips, family activities, assemblies, and classroom supplies. If you have a child/grandchild/niece/nephew/
Family Network Meetings are the second Friday of each month at 3pm. The board welcomes and encourages all ACA families to attend the meetings. Check with the calendar. below to find out the next meeting.
Family Network Wish List: We have created a Family Network wish list on Amazon. If you’d like to donate any of these “Wish List” items we would greatly appreciate it. These items are needed throughout the school year. Pick the items and pay for them and Amazon will ship directly to the school.

Popcorn Fridays Volunteers Always Needed! 
We need volunteers to help out with popcorn sales each Friday 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Help set up, make popcorn, sell candy/popcorn and clean-up. Sign up on https://www.trackitforward.
REMINDERS 
School Lunch Order Form – https://forms.gle/
You MUST order meals in advance in order to receive them or else we may not have a meal available for your student. Breakfast and Supper will be the same for all students, while lunch has a menu that you can choose one entree from. Reminder – no outside food delivery services are allowed on campus.
Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late. If your student needs to depart early, the person picking up the child must call the office at (925) 755-7311 so the office can retrieve the student prior to walking into the office to sign out their student. Please remember to request an “Independent Study” or “IS” every time you email/call to report an absence. This helps the school, which helps your student!
REMIND: This APP is another way for the school to quickly inform you on what is happening on campus. Never miss another minimum day schedule, or a whole school event (example from last year: a power outage that required early dismissal!). You can receive messages through email or through texting (recommended) – you decide! Ask your student’s teacher for their classcode!
Clothes Donation Bin: is a great way to have our unclaimed lost and found items find a new home, and it is actually a form of fund raising for the school. When people donate clothes, the owners of the bin, Tree Machine, will give money to the school. The bin is for clothes only. Please make sure to bag the clothes before you put them in the bin. Thank You.

¡Bienvenidos nuevamente a todos!
Esperamos que hayan tenido una maravillosa temporada festiva llena de alegría y relajación. Es muy emocionante verlos a todos nuevamente en la escuela, listos para comenzar un nuevo año lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento y diversión. A nuestros estudiantes, estamos ansiosos por escuchar sobre sus aventuras navideñas y ver todas las cosas increíbles que lograrán en los próximos meses.
Padres, gracias por su continuo apoyo mientras trabajamos juntos para hacer de este un año escolar fantástico. ¡Brindemos por un comienzo exitoso y feliz para la segunda mitad del año! ¡Hagamos que sea el mejor hasta ahora!

Preguntas frecuentes sobre la lotería de ACA 2025-26:
La preferencia de admisión se realiza en el orden que se indica a continuación: hijos del personal o de la facultad, hermanos de estudiantes que actualmente asisten a ACA, residentes del distrito.
La lotería para ACA I se llevará a cabo el martes 4 de marzo de 2025
La escuela autónoma llevará a cabo la lotería anual durante la primera semana de marzo; un programa informático generará números aleatorios para cada solicitante.
Una vez que se hayan llenado todas las vacantes, los solicitantes restantes se colocarán en la lista de espera actual según el número de lotería asignado y podrán ser admitidos si se abren espacios durante el año escolar.

EVENTOS DE LA RED FAMILIAR (FN)
La Red Familiar de ACA está formada por adultos de ACA que se ofrecen como voluntarios para recaudar fondos y eventos sociales para el enriquecimiento de nuestros niños. El dinero que recaudamos se destina a nuestra escuela para viajes de estudio, actividades familiares, asambleas y útiles escolares. Si tiene un hijo/nieto/sobrina/sobrino/
Las reuniones de la Red Familiar se realizan el segundo viernes de cada mes a las 3:00 p. m. La junta da la bienvenida y alienta a todas las familias de ACA a asistir a las reuniones. Consulte el calendario a continuación para conocer la próxima reunión.

DEBES pedir las comidas con anticipación para recibirlas o, de lo contrario, es posible que no tengamos una comida disponible para tu estudiante. El desayuno y la cena serán los mismos para todos los estudiantes, mientras que el almuerzo tiene un menú del que puedes elegir un plato principal. Recordatorio: no se permiten servicios de entrega de alimentos externos en el campus.
Ausencias, tardanzas, salidas tempranas: si su estudiante estará ausente o llegará tarde, llame a la oficina al 925-755-7311 o envíe un correo electrónico al aula de su estudiante antes de las 8:00 a. m.
