Victorian Day is this Thursday, December 19th:
- Students will “put on” the character they have created, and will participate in a “Victorian Party”. Students need to come dressed as a Victorian lady, gentlemen, or child. Attached are pictures from previous Victorian Days, so you can get an idea of how the students are expected to dress.
- We are still in need of you to sign up to bring something for our banquet. If your student signed up to bring an item, we still need you to confirm by going to this link and sign up https://www.signupgenius.
com/go/20F0F45A4AA28A1FE3- 53317503-victorian - Students need to bring their Secret Santa gift for the exchange. Please make sure the gift is here by Thursday morning so there will be no sadness!
- Make sure your student brings a change of clothes for after the party. They will not want to be dressed in Victorian attire for the whole day.

- Unit Final/Project: Humanities is Friday; Unit Final Science Project due this week on your student’s Science Day.
- Thank you to the drivers for helping us get to the farm.
- Next Los Angeles Payment is due January 31st. Thank you to those who have paid in full.

- Math – CPM, Khan, Math Review, Math Antics, other; assorted due dates (see on Google Classroom), assessment usually on Fridays
- Science: Family Life – final project due this week on Science day
- Membean (vocabulary 15 minutes a day, for 3 days) – due Fridays
- Literature Book – Student Choice (multiple assignments with due dates): RJWs for the 2nd Trimester will be on any book. You must do ALL of the following in the order they are presented. Each entry must be one page long, in your best writing, with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Golden Lines due by Thursdays, RJWs & Reflections due Fridays
- Commonlit – The Song of The Shirt: due Friday
- Writing #3CC: Character Sketch (presented to class); Due on Thursday
- Current Events #3CC: Participation in Victorian Day; Due Thursday
- Workshop (writing) – in class assignments/may become homework
- Victorian Unit – banquet will take place on Thursday, December 19th. The students need to be dressed in “Victorian” attire, and will be graded on their participation. If your student is participating in the Secret Santa, they will bring their gift on this day for the exchange.
