Welcome back! Hopefully, our ACA families were able to rest and recover for the second half of our trimester. Part of having a successful learning experience is regular school attendance. Coming to school every day helps our students learn new things, make friends, and have fun!
Why Regular Attendance Matters:
Learning Every Day Every school day is a chance to learn something new! When students come to class, they get to explore exciting subjects like reading, math, science, and art. Missing even one day means missing out on important lessons that can help them gain knowledge and feel more confident.
Building Good Habits Going to school every day helps students develop good habits. When kids learn to show up on time and be responsible, they are preparing for a bright future. These habits help them not only in school but also in life as they grow up.
Staying Connected with Friends School is also a place where students build friendships. Regular attendance helps students stay connected with their classmates and teachers. When everyone is present, they can work together on projects, play games during recess, and support each other in learning.
Achieving Their Best Students who come to school regularly tend to do better in their studies. Whether it’s reading a new book, solving math problems, or finishing a creative art project, being in class every day helps students do their best and feel proud of their accomplishments.
How You Can Help: Parents and guardians play a big role in helping students succeed! Here are some tips to help ensure your child has regular attendance:
Create a morning routine: Set a bedtime and wake-up time that makes getting ready for school smooth and stress-free.
Plan ahead for appointments: Try to schedule doctor or dentist appointments after school hours or on non-school days.
Talk about school: Encourage your child by asking about their day and what they learned in class, so they feel excited to go back each day.
What to Do If Your Child Needs to Miss School: We understand that sometimes students may need to stay home if they are sick. If your child needs to miss school, please let us know as soon as possible. It’s also helpful to talk to their teacher about any missed work (independent studies) so they can catch up when they return.
A Special Reminder: Did you know that missing just two days a month can add up to 20 days a year? That’s almost a whole month of school missed! Let’s work together to help our students attend regularly and stay on the path to success.
Thank you for supporting your child’s education by making school attendance a priority. Together, we can ensure that our students gain skills for future success.
Sincerely,
Kris Cordova

You MUST order meals in advance in order to receive them or else we may not have a meal available for your student. Breakfast and Supper will be the same for all students, while lunch has a menu that you can choose one entree from. Reminder – no outside food delivery services are allowed on campus.
Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late. If your student needs to depart early, the person picking up the child must call the office at (925) 755-7311 so the office can retrieve the student prior to walking into the office to sign out their student. Please remember to request an “Independent Study” or “IS” every time you email/call to report an absence. This helps the school, which helps your student!
REMIND: This APP is another way for the school to quickly inform you on what is happening on campus. Never miss another minimum day schedule, or a whole school event (example from last year: a power outage that required early dismissal!). You can receive messages through email or through texting (recommended) – you decide! Ask your student’s teacher for their classcode!
Clothes Donation Bin: is a great way to have our unclaimed lost and found items find a new home, and it is actually a form of fund raising for the school. When people donate clothes, the owners of the bin, Tree Machine, will give money to the school. The bin is for clothes only. Please make sure to bag the clothes before you put them in the bin. Thank You.

Atentamente,
Kris Cordova
