we have begun using the sound of the week. Most of the language lessons that are given revolve around the letter Aa. We will also be working with apples this week- doing an apple tasting, graphing our favorites, doing apple art projects and using apples for cooking. :)
PURPLE FOLDERS
Last week your child was sent home with a purple folder. Inside is all of the work that they have completed for the week. Have them choose their favorite work for the week and send it back to class in the purple folder Friday.
We have included paperwork for those of you who were unable to attend back to school night. Please fill it out and return it in the purple folder Friday.
Please make sure you are checking your child’s Purple folder every Thursday. This is a way for them to show you what they have accomplished for the week- as well as complete their “job” of taking the folder to and from school.
BOOK ORDERS
We also included a book order in the purple folder due by September 19th if you would like to purchase any books at a discount. Every purchase from scholastic goes towards earning new books for our classroom.
