Head’s Up:
- The Los Angeles trip form and $100 deposit are due on September 10th! This will allow us to lock in the bus, hotel, dinner, and museums. Once we meet the minimum of 25 students attending, an email will be sent after 9/10 to update you on the trip, and we will start the process of confirming the above, & choosing chaperones.
- The Middle School class uses the program SignUp Genius for setting up conferences & for classroom events. If you receive an email from SignUp Genius, please open it and respond.
- Make sure you sign up for Remind! This free app will help remind you of events happening at our campus, including if we need to send out an urgent schoolwide announcement. See the attachment for instructions on how to sign up for our classroom
- Thank you for sending your students to school, and being on time! We have already seen a huge improvement from last year. As a reminder, please read the attached document outlining our policies on attendance.
- Afternoon electives begin today.
Week 2 Archaeology – not an exhaustive list more assignments may be added by teachers through-out the week.
- Current Events #1WMI: Bring 3 Artifacts – Mystery Person Hunt; due today
- Literature Book: “Wild Man Island”; assigned chapters read by Thursdays, RJWs & Reflections due Fridays, assessments on Fridays
- Duolingo (language): weekly XP assigned; due Fridays
- Math: CPM, Khan, Math Review, other; assorted due dates (see on Google Classroom), assessment usually on Fridays
- Science: participation, journal, projects, labs, etc; due on Science day (assignments not finished in class become homework)
- Archaeology Project: students continue to research their topic, and are planning on how they will present the project to the class.
