RECORD YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS
Did you know the school includes the total number of volunteer hours as part of its LCAP report to the state? This information highlights how much family support there is for our program. Right now, only 5 families have added volunteer hours to Gradelink and we know SO MANY more people have volunteered their valuable time in many different ways. PLEASE login to Gradelink and add your hours by May 31st. If you need your gradelink login info, you may contact the office.
Parent Survey
Please take a few minutes to answer the end of the year parent survey. The school needs your input as part of what is going well and for future planning. The answers you share are part of the LCAP report we submit every year to the state of California. Your voice is important to us.

Spring Instrumental Music Concert
All families are invited to attend our Spring Instrumental Music Concert on Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the multi-use room of John Muir School at Rockford Drive & Greystone Drive in Antioch. This is a wonderful opportunity for our current grade 3 students to hear and see the instruments that are taught at our school, in the Intermediate grades, which is next year for them! Let’s support these faithful young musicians, as they share their musical talents and skills!!
Used Ink Cartridges or Toner Needed
Did you know that the office collects used ink/toner cartridges? We recycle them for office supplies.
If you have any throughout the year please just send them in with your student to give to the office.

From Our Family Handbook: Attendance
The importance of regular attendance cannot be overemphasized. A child should be in school every day that he/she is physically able. If your child is at school for any portion of the school day, he/she will be counted present. It is extremely important for children to be present even if for only a portion of the day.
If a student is repeatedly absent or tardy, the child and family will receive communication from the school and may be referred to an attendance committee, CPS, or a Child Welfare and Attendance Officer.

¿Sabía que la escuela incluye el número total de horas de voluntariado como parte de su informe LCAP al estado? Esta información resalta cuánto apoyo familiar hay para nuestro programa. En este momento, solo 5 familias han agregado horas de voluntariado a Gradelink y sabemos que MUCHAS personas más han ofrecido su valioso tiempo de muchas maneras diferentes. Concierto de Música Instrumental de Primavera
Todas las familias están invitadas a asistir a nuestro Concierto de Música Instrumental de Primavera el jueves 23 de mayo a las 7:00 p.m. en el salón de usos múltiples de la escuela John Muir en Rockford Drive y Greystone Drive en Antioch. ¡Esta es una maravillosa oportunidad para que nuestros estudiantes actuales de 3er grado escuchen y vean los instrumentos que se enseñan en nuestra escuela, en los grados intermedios, que será el próximo año para ellos! ¡Apoyemos a estos jóvenes músicos fieles, ya que comparten sus talentos y habilidades musicales!

PROCEDIMIENTOS…………………………………………
De nuestro manual familiar: Asistencia
No se puede dejar de enfatizar la importancia de la asistencia regular. Un niño debe estar en la escuela todos los días que esté físicamente capacitado. Si su hijo está en la escuela durante cualquier parte del día escolar, se le contará como presente. Es extremadamente importante que los niños estén presentes aunque sea solo una parte del día.
Si un estudiante falta o llega tarde repetidamente, el niño y la familia recibirán una comunicación de la escuela y podrán ser remitidos a un comité de asistencia, CPS o un Oficial de Asistencia y Bienestar Infantil..
