We have made it to the last 6 weeks of the school year. At this point of the year, students start to feel the warm sun, and know their summer break is near. Use this opportunity to remind your child to give their personal best throughout the end of the school year.

2024-25 Student Intent to Return: To secure your child’s placement for the upcoming 2024/ 2025 school year, please fill out the information below no later than May 1, 2024.

Please also include your student’s T-Shirt size for their 2024/2025 Wonderful Wednesday T-Shirt. Your student will receive this shirt in August.

The Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments and the CAST Has Started! It will be extremely important for students to arrive on time and well rested during these testing months.  Help your student to be successful by not planning trips or appointments during testing times.




























STEAM Camp Sign Ups – SPOTS ARE FILLING UP FAST: Please join us this summer for our STEAM Camp and our new 6th-8th grade Leadership Camp! We will be hosting 6 free sessions this year, with the last session hosted at ACAII. This summer camp is for our currently enrolled students. Our goal is to get students inspired to learn through fun, hands-on activities!

The Camp’s main programming will take place from 8a-12p and from 12 – 4pm, the camp will be focused on recreation participation, not competition, with an emphasis on learning, fun, teamwork, being involved, and having new experiences. Half Days are from 8am-12pm and Full Days are from 8am-4pm.

Session 1 American Gladiator week = 6/17 – 6/21 (No Camp on 6/19 holiday)

Session 2 Monster Mash week = 6/24 – 6/28

Session 3 Man v. Wild week = 7/8 – 7/12

Session 4 ACA’s Got Talent = 7/15 – 7/19

Session 5 Iron Chef Week = 7/22 – 7/26

Session 6 offered at ACAII (1201 W. 10th St.) = 7/29 – 8/2

***NEW*** Leadership Camp: For 6th – 8th grade students only:

Leadership Camp is designed to empower and inspire our students to become confident, capable leaders in our school and communities. The camp focuses on developing key leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving. During camp, students will participate in a variety of activities and workshops that challenge them to step out of their comfort zones and take on leadership roles. These activities may include team-building exercises, outdoor adventure challenges, public speaking practice, and leading STEAM camp activities.

Spaces are limited, so please indicate the week(s) you are interested in, and either half or full day options. We will send out a confirmation to you in May, letting you know if you got in! Be sure to complete the registration paperwork that will be emailed to you prior to your session.

Cancellations: Please let us know IMMEDIATELY if you are no longer able to attend a week, so we can offer your spot to the students on the waiting list.

Parents – if you would like to come out to camp and volunteer during these weeks, please let us know! You guys are always a great addition!!

Charter Council: The Charter Council is our governing board.  The board meets usually on the second Thursday of the month @ 4PM.  Please check the calendar for the next meeting date/time, or call the office at 925-755-7311 to confirm.  These meetings are open to the public – all are welcomed!

It’s time to submit your nominations for the Family Network Board for the 2024-2025 school year. Below is a list of the positions on the board. Please consider which you are willing to help with and nominate yourself or a friend! All third party nominations will need to be accepted by the nominated party. (Don’t worry, your name won’t show up on the ballot without your knowledge beforehand.)

Nominations must be submitted to by May 3, 2024.

Elections will be held electronically from May 6-10, 2024.

The money we raise goes back to our school for study trips, family activities, and classroom supplies. If you have a child/grandchild/niece/nephew/etc. at ACA, then come join us & help make a difference!

Antioch Charter Academy Family Network Board Positions:

Chairperson – facilitates board meetings, ensures events are planned, liaison with school staff

Co-Chairperson – facilitates board meetings in the absence of the chair, plans events as assigned, supports the Chairperson

Treasurer – keeps accurate accounting of the Family Network funds, help plan and carry out events, attends board meetings

Secretary – takes minutes at board meetings and distributes them to the board, updates the Family Network binder in the office, plans events as assigned, attends board meetings

Fundraising Chair – organizes and plans monthly restaurant fundraisers, plans fundraisers with support from other Family Network members, attends board meetings

Social Chair – plans and organizes social events, attends board meetings, other duties as assigned

Volunteer Coordinator – facilitates requests for/fulfillment of volunteers via Track It Forward, manages family accounts on Track It Forward, attends board meetings

Family Network Meetings are the second Friday of each month at 3pm. The board welcomes and encourages all ACA families to attend the meetings.  Check with the calendar below to find out the next meeting.

Family Network Wish List: We have created a Family Network wish list on Amazon. If you’d like to donate any of these “Wish List” items we would greatly appreciate it. These items are needed throughout the school year. Pick the items and pay for them and Amazon will ship directly to the school.

  Popcorn Fridays Volunteers Always Needed!

We need volunteers to help out with popcorn sales each Friday 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Help set up, make popcorn, sell candy/popcorn and clean-up. Sign up on


School Lunch Order Form –

You MUST order meals in advance in order to receive them or else we may not have a meal available for your student. Breakfast and Supper will be the same for all students, while lunch has a menu that you can choose one entree from. Reminder – no outside food delivery services are allowed on campus.

Absences, Tardies, Leaving Early: If your student will be absent, or tardy, please call the office at 925-755-7311, or email your student’s classroom, before 8:00am. Please make sure to check into the office if your student arrives late. If your student needs to depart early, the person picking up the child must call the office at (925) 755-7311 so the office can retrieve the student prior to walking into the office to sign out their student. Please remember to request an “Independent Study” or “IS” every time you email/call to report an absence.  This helps the school, which helps your student!

REMIND: This APP is another way for the school to quickly inform you on what is happening on campus. Never miss another minimum day schedule, or a whole school event (example from last year: a power outage that required early dismissal!).  You can receive messages through email or through texting (recommended) – you decide!  Ask your student’s teacher for their classcode!

Clothes Donation Bin: is a great way to have our unclaimed lost and found items find a new home, and it is actually a form of fund raising for the school. When people donate clothes, the owners of the bin, Tree Machine, will give money to the school. The bin is for clothes only.  Please make sure to bag the clothes before you put them in the bin.  Thank You.

Parking Lot Safety – Let’s Keep ALL Our Students, Staff & Families SAFE!


  • Everyone needs to use crosswalks!

  • Listen to the staff’s instructions – they are trying to keep everyone safe, and to keep drop off/pick up running smoothly.

  • Do not tell your students to cut through the parking lot to reach you – cars that are backing up may not see your student.

  • When it is your turn to enter the carpool lane, pull all the way forward, so up to 6 vehicles can load/unload their charges at a time.

  • Do not move forward in the carpool lane until all children have entered/exited their vehicles in front of you – a fender bender could severely injure a child who is partially in a vehicle.

  • When leaving the parking lot, please drive the speed limit so our students walking to school are safe.

  • Thank you for keeping everyone safe – remember picking up/dropping off is only a few minutes out of your day, but an injury could last a lifetime!!
