New Classroom – Today is our first day in our new classroom.  See pictures below!  Most exciting is that we have two bathrooms in our classroom…no more going outside to get to the bathroom.  In an effort to keep our new carpet and floors clean, we are going to allow students to keep a pair of crocs or hard soled slippers at school in their cubby to wear when inside.  If you have a pair you can send in, please do.

Field Trip – Our field trip to Big Break is this Thursday, March 21st.  All students will attend school 8:15 AM to 12:00 PM. Parents who signed up to chaperone please meet at the picnic tables in front of the classroom at 9 AM (but please make sure your children are at school by 8:15).  Please send children to school with a snack and water bottle.

Walk-a-Thon – Our walk-a-thon is this Friday, March 22nd from 11-11:30 AM. Share your 99pledges fundraising page with your friends and family, post to social media, etc.  All families are invited to come and cheer the students on.  And if you are coming, why not sign up to volunteer while you are here so you earn volunteer hours.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0444A9AF23A5F58-48266139-2024

Week in Review

Last week students learned how the numbers 13, 14, 15, and 16 are made up of a ten and certain number of ones. Students are now being asked to write their own sentences for their journal writing assignment and encouraged to sound out the words the best they can. On Friday students painted rainbows, made a shamrock craft by tearing paper, and drew a St. Patrick’s day hat.  Thank you to all the parents that took time to come to a parent teacher conference and collaborated with us on your child’s learning.
