English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) – ACA2 is excited to announce the development of our English Learner Advisory Committee/Comité Asesor de Padres (ELAC). The English Learners Advisory Committee/Comité Asesor de Padres (ELAC) makes recommendations regarding programs for students with second language needs. The purpose of the ELAC is to provide parents of English Learners opportunities to:

  • Learn more about the programs offered to their children
  • Participate in the school’s needs assessment of students, parents, and teachers
  • Provide input in the most effective ways to support full participation of English Learners in all school activities
  • Provide input on the most effective ways to ensure regular school attendance

ACA2 is looking for parents of our English Language Learners to participate in this committee to provide their unique input on the learning needs of their students and how to make our school more culturally inclusive. This committee will also include parent training on how to best navigate the school system for their student(s).
