MONTH AT A GLANCE
This month we are finally getting into the swing of our daily routine. Last week we began with our letter of the week. All of our activities each week will revolve around the letter/ sound of the week- including our Wonderful Wednesday activities.
Students have begun work in their daily journal where they write and draw something from the story of the day. They have also been introduced to more than half of our practical life jobs where they are working on their fine motor skills.
We are getting lots of time outside exploring our school garden and planting flowers in our Primary garden beds behind our classroom.
We are also preparing and eating our own snack every day and practicing staying organized with all of our materials and work space.
MINIMUM DAYS THIS WEEK
Thursday 9/14 and Friday 9/15 are minimum days. ALL students will attend school from 8:15-12pm. There is no Cougar Cub Club on minimum days.
JELLY BELLY FACTORY TRIP 
Permission slips for the Jelly Belly Factory trip on 9/21 were sent home three weeks ago. Permission slips were due 9/8- if you have not turned it in please do so asap. You can pay in advance or pay at the door as this is a self guided trip.
ALL NEW TK/K students (pandas and crocodiles) will need to be accompanied by an adult for this trip as it is their first trip and a big one to go without an adult. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
 
FAMILY DANCE
Thursday September 28th is the family dance night. Please see the attached flyer for all of the details 🙂

MES DE UN VISTAZO
Este mes finalmente estamos entrando en el ritmo de nuestra rutina diaria. La semana pasada comenzamos con nuestra carta de la semana. Todas nuestras actividades cada semana girarán en torno a la letra/sonido de la semana, incluidas nuestras actividades del Miércoles Maravilloso.

Los estudiantes han comenzado a trabajar en su diario donde escriben y dibujan algo de la historia del día. También se les ha presentado más de la mitad de nuestros trabajos de la vida práctica en los que trabajan sus habilidades motoras finas.

Pasamos mucho tiempo al aire libre, explorando el jardín de nuestra escuela y plantando flores en los parterres de nuestro jardín de Primaria, detrás de nuestro salón de clases.

También preparamos y comemos nuestra propia merienda todos los días y practicamos cómo mantenernos organizados con todos nuestros materiales y espacio de trabajo.

DÍAS MÍNIMOS ESTA SEMANA
El jueves 14/9 y el viernes 15/9 son días mínimos. TODOS los estudiantes asistirán a la escuela de 8:15 a 12 p.m. No hay Cougar Cub Club en los días mínimos.

VIAJE A LA FÁBRICA DE JELLY BELLY
Los permisos para el viaje a Jelly Belly Factory el 21 de septiembre se enviaron a casa hace tres semanas. Los formularios de permiso vencen el 8 de septiembre; si no los ha entregado, hágalo lo antes posible. Puedes pagar por adelantado o pagar en puerta ya que este es un viaje autoguiado.
TODOS los estudiantes NUEVOS de TK/K (pandas y cocodrilos) deberán estar acompañados por un adulto para este viaje, ya que es su primer viaje y uno grande para ir sin un adulto. Por favor, háganos saber si tiene alguna pregunta sobre esto.

BAILE FAMILIAR
El jueves 28 de septiembre es la noche de baile familiar. Consulte el folleto adjunto para conocer todos los detalles 🙂
