Calendar Reminders:


Tuesday, June 6 – 8th Grade Graduation 5:30pm The Good Shepherd, Pittsburg

Thursday, June 8 – Middle School Fort Day

Friday, June 9 – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL – Minimum Day dismissal at NOON


Last week of school! 


There will be no homework this week, but it will be a busy week!
 
Monday:  final presentations of Career Research project; students will finalize their food heater prototypes and prepare a poster to share with the class
 
Tuesday:  high school seniors (ACA2 graduates of 4 years ago!) will visit to speak with our students about tips for navigating high school.  8th graders will rehearse for graduation.  7th graders will meet with 6th graders to give them a picture of what middle school is like.  
 
Tuesday:  Graduation is at 5:30! Scan QR Code to watch graduation live! (see more info below) Tickets are not required to enter.
 
Wednesday:  8th grade fun day!  8th graders will plan a fun day in place of the field trip to the Oakland Zoo.  They will put their handprints on the Legacy Tree on the outside of room 6.   7th graders will help plan for the beginning of next year and have some fun activities of their own.
 
Thursday:  Fort Day  Students have worked hard to save “Preferred Activity Time” to do a fun activity of their choice on Thursday.  They voted to have a “Fort Day”, building forts in the classroom.  There will be time to sign memory books as well.
 
Middle School is having a fort day on Thursday.  They are asking for blankets to build forts.  If your student can bring a few please send them in with them on Thursday.  Also they are asking for snack donations to share with the class that day.  They plan on watching a movie and having snacks while watching the movie.  If you can donate snacks, send them in with your student on Thursday.  Respond to this email if you have any questions.
 
Friday:  Field Day  School families (led by middle school students) will rotate through Super Hero themed game stations.  School is out at 12:00.  There is no Cheetah Zone on Friday.

¡Última semana de clases!

No habrá tarea esta semana, ¡pero será una semana muy ocupada!

Lunes: presentaciones finales del proyecto de Investigación de Carrera; los estudiantes finalizarán sus prototipos de calentadores de alimentos y prepararán un póster para compartir con la clase

Martes: los estudiantes del último año de la escuela secundaria (¡graduados de ACA2 hace 4 años!) visitarán para hablar con nuestros estudiantes sobre consejos para navegar la escuela secundaria. Los estudiantes de 8vo grado ensayarán para la graduación. Los alumnos de 7º grado se reunirán con los de 6º grado para darles una idea de cómo es la escuela intermedia.

Martes: ¡La graduación es a las 5:30! ¡Escanee el código QR para ver la graduación en vivo! (ver más información a continuación) No se requieren boletos para ingresar.

Miércoles: día de diversión de 8vo grado! Los estudiantes de 8º grado planearán un día divertido en lugar de la excursión al Zoológico de Oakland. Ellos pondrán las huellas de sus manos en el árbol del legado en el exterior del salón 6. Los estudiantes de 7º grado ayudarán a planificar el comienzo del próximo año y tendrán sus propias actividades divertidas.

Jueves: Fort Day Los estudiantes han trabajado duro para ahorrar “Tiempo de actividad preferida” para hacer una actividad divertida de su elección el jueves. Ellos votaron por tener un “Día de Fuerte”, construyendo fuertes en el salón de clases. También habrá tiempo para firmar libros de recuerdos.

La escuela secundaria está teniendo un día fuerte el jueves. Están pidiendo frazadas para construir fuertes. Si su estudiante puede traer algunos, envíelos con ellos el jueves. También están pidiendo donaciones de refrigerios para compartir con la clase ese día. Planean ver una película y comer bocadillos mientras ven la película. Si puede donar refrigerios, envíelos con su estudiante el jueves. Responda a este correo electrónico si tiene alguna pregunta.

Viernes: Las familias de Field Day School (dirigidas por estudiantes de secundaria) rotarán a través de las estaciones de juegos con el tema de Superhéroes. La escuela sale a las 12:00. No hay Cheetah Zone el viernes.
