There has been a disturbing trend on some “child safe” internet sites such as YouTube Kids. Some content has been slipping past safety filters including content promoting inappropriate and unsafe behaviors, as well predatory practices. Please make sure you are monitoring your student’s internet content despite safety claims by the content provider.

The potential sponsor letter also includes a list of places that have hosted ACA or ACA2 students in the past. Middle school students will not come to school on May 1, 2, and 3rd and should be doing their internship and working on their career research on these dates.
SPA PROJECT: CAREER UNIT
Students should be finalizing where they will be job shadowing on May 1, 2, and 3rd. Remember, middle school students will NOT have school on campus on those dates. Students are to job shadow for at least 12 hours over the course of the 3 days. If your student has not yet talked with you about this assignment, please do so THIS WEEK! There are resources to help your student reach out to a business to ask about doing an internship on the Social Studies Google Classroom.
