iLs – Integrated Listening System
What is iLs? Does your child participate in iLs? Do you think they would benefit from iLs?
On Friday, March 10th, 8:15am at 2nd Cup, Miss Dubitsky and Mrs. Kessler will be giving a PEP (Parent Education Presentation) on iLs (Integrated Listening System). iLs is a non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical multi-sensory program to improve brain function. iLs provides programs that improve cognitive, language and social abilities. The wonderful thing is also that ACA2 provides this program to its students for free.
If you want to know more or are curious about the program, please come to 2nd Cup which is usually held in Room 6. Come find out more details and see demonstrations on what activities iLs students do each day. Please keep posted if location changes.
WAT – Walk-A-Thon
It’s that time of the year again where our Annual Walk-a-Thon (WAT) is just around the corner! One of the fun things that is included with our WAT are the raffle tickets that each student earns with the pledges they receive. For every $25.00 they are pledged, they earn a raffle ticket.
Here is where we need help! We highly rely on donations from our school and city community as raffle prizes. The WAT team is looking for various items to give away in our raffle. In the past we have given away Chromebooks and Ipads, fitbit watches, gift cards to places like Target and Amazon, Loungefly Disney backpacks, Starbucks merch and more! We are asking for a $$ amount to purchase raffle gifts OR the donation of actual items. Please contact Jes at acaiifnb.social@gmail.com
We are looking forward to this years WAT and appreciate all of you and anything you can offer!
