Dear 2022-23 Middle School Parents,

Welcome to our classroom! We have been busily planning for an exceptional 2022-23 year for your middle school student, and look forward to the start of school on Wednesday, Aug. 17th at 8:15AM!

When you drop off your student on the first day, make sure to stay for a cup of coffee & pastry (compliments of the Family Network) and see the annual Opening Day Flag Ceremony.

On Thursday, August 25th from 6-7pm, please mark Back to School Night for the Middle School Parents on your calendars!  All students need to have at least one parent representative at the meeting. This meeting will help you understand our program, and what we will be asking of both your student(s) and you to help them have a successful school year! Even if you have had Middle School students in our classroom in the past, there is always something new to learn!

The suggested supply list for your middle school student for the coming school year (will need pencil/pen & 1 spiral notebook the first 2 days of school; other materials  will be needed through-out the year):

*Durable tabs for filing for RJW notebooks.

*3 x 5 lined index cards, 5 x 7 index cards: 1-2 packs each.

Classroom Needs: (please donate any of these items to our

classroom…thanks!) Kleenex, wipes for tables, colored markers, dry erase markers, graph paper, glue sticks, etc.

Chromebook & Literature Books Donations: During the school year, each student will be assigned a classroom Chromebook, and several Literature books. We are asking for a $30 donation to help us purchase literature books, and help cover the cost to fix normal “wear & tear” issues for the Chromebooks (this does not cover neglect/misuse/loss of either of these items – guardians are responsible for replacement cost).

Be looking for updates for the Los Angeles trip in December! Also, if you are interested in teaching an elective for the 1st Trimester, let us know!

Looking forward to an incredible year!
