*Last Farm Visit for this year is on June 7th from 10-1:30. Our whole class will go out to the farm on this day to reflect on, and celebrate what has been learned & accomplished! We need drivers for this trip! If you can drive, please let us know, and how many kiddos you can take!
*Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment (State Testing) & in house benchmark testing for Middle School is finishing up this week. Please do not schedule morning appointments.

*Showcase of the Arts: is next Wednesday, June 1 from 6~8:15pm. This event showcases what your student has been learning/creating during their Enrichment times. See NETWORKings for details.
*8th Grade Trip is on Friday, June 3rd. 7th grade will have a normal school day (plus maybe something fun). 8th grade graduation is on Wednesday, June 8th at the Antioch Community Center. Graduates need to arrive by 4:15pm, ceremony begins at 4:30pm. Thank you to our 7th grade committee for all their hard work!
Weekly Work (additional assignments may be added by teachers)
Vocabulary Assignment: due Wednesday, quiz on Friday
Writing: Students continue with a Poetry/Writing Unit. Assignments will either be in class or due the following day.
Current Events: Work in teams to debate a topic chosen in class.
Be prepared to research your topic in depth, then prepare questions and statements to reinforce your team’s position, and to stand up and participate in a formal debate on May 26
RJW: due on Fridays
Literature (Nation): read assigned pages by Thursday, quiz on Fridays
Extreme Earth Project: Students should be taking what they heard from Practice, and be making changes to the presentation. Pre- Presentations on 5/24 & 5/31; regular presentations on 6/2
Science: Extreme Earth (assignments are in class, unless they don’t finish, then it is homework)
Passion Project: yearlong project. Students were given an hour a week in class to work on this project. Students are presenting their projects to the class. Ask your student when they will be presenting!
