* Farm Visit to the Family Harvest Farm (Pittsburg) for experiential learningGroup 1 will be going out this Thursday, April 7th from 9:30am – 12pm. Make sure your student is dressed appropriately for working on a farm!  The rest of the students will have a normal school day.  Drivers, please be here by 9:25am!

*ACA PaloozaPlease join us this Wednesday, April 6th, at 8:30am for an ACA celebration, ACA Palooza! We will be rolling out the new school motto and official logo that you all voted on! There will be several activities, and maybe something sweet!

*Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment (State Testing) for Middle School will take place 5/2, 5/3, 5/16, 5/17, 5/19, 5/20, 5/26, 5/27.  Please do not schedule appointments on test dates (testing takes place in the mornings, before lunch).  
*ACA & ACA II Middle School Spring Dance: on May 6, the two campuses will have a spring dance at the ACA campus.  They are asking for the following donations:
  • Faux Grass – Green Carpet (borrow)
    Balloons: Spring Colors, Confetti, Clear
    Tissue Paper Flowers ( Already Made or Pre-Cut)
    Paper Cups, Plates, Napkins
    Led Lights, Fairy Lights (borrow)
    Projector  (borrow)

Literature: read assigned pages, and do Reflection.  Reading done by Thursday, Reflection due on Friday, Essay Assessment on Friday
Vocabulary Assignment: definitions due Wednesday, quiz on Friday
Writing : Essay Assessment this Friday..
RJW#5: due on Friday
Math:  Daily assignments, including classwork & homework.  Assorted due dates, & assessments are usually on Fridays.
Science: “Earth Systems”- assorted assignments & due dates, Unit final next week.
Writer’s Workshop:  Portfolio of writing assignments Due towards the end of April
Career Project: Students should have completed at least 9 of the 10 Tasks, and should be close to finishing putting together their presentation (see attachment for requirements. Presentations begin April 11th and continue until finished.
Passion Project yearlong project with assorted benchmarks/due dates.  Students are given an hour a week in class to work on this projectAsk your student how they are doing on the project!
