Scholastic Book Fair
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from 04/25/2022 – 04/29/2022 during lunch and after school in the Music Room.
Our Book Fair offers eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Simply create a free account to add funds and/or invite family and friends to contribute so your child can select their own books. Any unused funds can be spent at The Scholastic Store Online or to fund a future eWallet.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

The following students completed this year’s knights challenge and will be knighted at a dubbing ceremony this Wednesday at 8:15 AM. Unfortunately parents/family will not be invited to attend in person. However, the ceremony will be live streamed and recorded for anyone that wants to watch. So a big congratulations goes out to: Henry Lynn, Liam Hawley, Myla Ave, Sanjog Sooch, Myah Wilson, Jacob Bess, and Lennon Brooks.

SPA
This week students should complete the research portion of the Innovation/Invention SPA project. They will have some time to work in class on Thursday. Presentation of the project will be April 18th.
Science
Unit “Innovation”. This week we learn to sketch like engineers. In class, students will learn how to make isometric and orthographic sketches and how to label the dimensions of an object. There is a science reading homework due Thursday: Stress for Success.
Math
In-class and homework assignments will be posted in each math class Google Classroom. Paper assignments may be turned into the classroom and do not need to be attached to Google Classroom. In general, all students will have:
*a daily in class assignment, to be done in class, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
*a daily homework assignment, due the next day, assigned Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students should spend a maximum of 30 minutes on each daily assignment. No Math Homework Thursday due to Challenge Day activities.

Nos complace invitarlo a nuestra próxima Feria del Libro Scholastic. SPA
Esta semana, los estudiantes deben completar la parte de investigación del proyecto SPA Innovación/Invención. Tendrán algo de tiempo para trabajar en clase el jueves. La presentación del proyecto será el 18 de abril.
Ciencia
Unidad “Innovación”. Esta semana aprendemos a dibujar como ingenieros. En clase, los estudiantes aprenderán cómo hacer bocetos isométricos y ortográficos y cómo etiquetar las dimensiones de un objeto. Hay una tarea de lectura de ciencias para el jueves: Estrés para el éxito.
Matemáticas
Las tareas en clase y las tareas se publicarán en Google Classroom de cada clase de matemáticas. Las tareas en papel se pueden entregar en el salón de clases y no es necesario adjuntarlas a Google Classroom. En general, todos los estudiantes tendrán:
*un trabajo diario en clase, para ser hecho en clase, lunes, martes, miércoles y jueves.
*una asignación de tarea diaria, que vence al día siguiente, asignada los lunes, martes, miércoles y jueves. Los estudiantes deben dedicar un máximo de 30 minutos a cada tarea diaria. No hay tarea de matemáticas el jueves debido a las actividades del Día del Desafío.
