Thursday and Friday are Minimum Days!
Don’t forget that all students will be dismissed at 12:00pm on Thursday and Friday of this week!
If your student is absent from school, but well enough to join us on Zoom please help get them on. Below are the links for all Intermediate classes. From 9:00 – 11:00 have them connect with their Skills Group teacher. From 11:00- 12:00 they should connect with their Specialty Group teacher.

Research Project Presentations are the week of Feb 7th!
Research presentations for all students will be the week of February 7th. Presentations will take place in SSR groups between 12:45 and 2:00 Monday-Thursday of next week. Remember that presentations should be about 3-5 minutes long (no longer than 7 minutes for older students) and students are expected to present 3-4 of their performances. All students need to practice their presentation at home! Please help them get ready for their presentation by asking to be an audience member while they practice.
Unfortunately, we are not able to invite parents and family members to watch presentations this trimester due to student safety. We appreciate your understanding.
Valentines
Students voted to have the option to pass out Valentines during SSR on Monday February 14th. They should bring a bag for collecting valentines and whatever they plan to pass out in the morning when they arrive at school. To make the process go smoothly, please have students sign the “from” line of the Valentine, but do not address them to individual students. If they choose to give out valentines they must either give to everyone in their skills groups or everyone Intermediate. Intermediate has a total of 63 students. ACA2 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Two years ago, we started a fun and easy fundraiser that involved flocking. What is flocking? Flocking is basically surprising someone with lawn decorations for some special occasion like birthday or graduation. The original flocking decorations were flamingos (flock of flamingos hence flocking). The family network has various lawn decorations for different occasions such as Halloween, Summer, Fall, Valentine’s Day, birthdays and more.
How to help?
We need volunteers to help manage the calendar and record dates that come in. We only do 2 flockings per day.
We need volunteers to help put the lawn decorations out in the morning. It can be done before or after drop off. They are picked up the following day. We can have two different volunteers for the various jobs available. If you have some time in your day, please consider helping. If you only have certain days free that’s fine.

Please check in with your student about their research project!
Our recommendation is that many of the performances for research be done at home with help from an adult. This allows the student to get feedback and help with their performances. This is especially true for the body performance, which requires time and materials that we may not have at school. If you are not regularly talking with your student about their project, please be sure to check in with them this week. Binders are due the week of February 14th!
Instrumental Music students should be practicing at home!
A friendly reminder for all students in instrumental music: you need to practice your instrument as much as possible! This helps you become a better musician! Please schedule time in your week to practice. All instruments must be taken home from school everyday for students to practice. Please do not leave your instrument at school overnight.

Las presentaciones de proyectos de investigación son la semana del 7 de febrero!
Las presentaciones de investigación para todos los estudiantes serán la semana del 7 de febrero. Las presentaciones se realizarán en grupos SSR entre las 12:45 y las 2:00 de lunes a jueves de la próxima semana. Recuerde que las presentaciones deben durar entre 3 y 5 minutos (no más de 7 minutos para estudiantes mayores) y se espera que los estudiantes presenten 3 o 4 de sus presentaciones. ¡Todos los estudiantes necesitan practicar su presentación en casa! Ayúdenos a prepararse para su presentación solicitando ser un miembro de la audiencia mientras practican.
Desafortunadamente, no podemos invitar a los padres y familiares a ver las presentaciones este trimestre debido a la seguridad de los estudiantes. apreciamos su comprensión.
Valentines
Los estudiantes votaron para tener la opción de repartir Valentines durante SSR el lunes 14 de febrero. Deben traer una bolsa para recolectar tarjetas de San Valentín y lo que sea que planeen desmayarse en la mañana cuando lleguen a la escuela. Para que el proceso transcurra sin problemas, haga que los estudiantes firmen la línea “de” de Valentine, pero no los dirija a estudiantes individuales. Si eligen repartir tarjetas de San Valentín, deben dárselas a todos en sus grupos de habilidades o todos los intermedios. El Intermedio tiene un total de 63 estudiantes. ACA2 SE NECESITAN VOLUNTARIOS
Hace dos años, comenzamos una recaudación de fondos divertida y fácil que involucra el rebaño. ¿Qué es flocado? El flocado es básicamente sorprender a alguien con decoraciones de césped para alguna ocasión especial como un cumpleaños o una graduación. Las decoraciones de flocado originales eran flamencas (bandera de flamencos, por lo tanto, flocado). La red familiar tiene varias decoraciones de césped para diferentes ocasiones, como Halloween, verano, otoño, día de San Valentín, cumpleaños y más.
¿Como ayudar?
Necesitamos voluntarios para ayudar a administrar el calendario y registrar las fechas que llegan. Solo hacemos 2 paradas por día.
Necesitamos voluntarios para ayudar a poner las decoraciones del césped en la mañana. Se puede hacer antes o después de la entrega. Se recogen al día siguiente. Podemos tener dos voluntarios diferentes para los distintos trabajos disponibles. Si tiene algo de tiempo en su día, consideré ayudar. Si solo tienes ciertos días libres, está bien.

Por favor consulte con su estudiante sobre su proyecto de investigación!
Nuestra recomendación es que muchas de las actuaciones para la investigación se hagan en casa con la ayuda de un adulto. Esto permite que el estudiante obtenga retroalimentación y ayuda con sus actuaciones. Esto es especialmente cierto para el rendimiento corporal, que requiere tiempo y materiales que quizás no tengamos en la escuela. Si no está hablando regularmente con su estudiante sobre su proyecto, asegúrese de comunicarse con ellos esta semana. ¡Las carpetas deben entregarse la semana del 14 de febrero!

Un recordatorio amistoso para todos los estudiantes de música instrumental: ¡necesitas practicar tu instrumento tanto como sea posible! ¡Esto te ayuda a convertirte en un mejor músico! Por favor programe tiempo en su semana para practicar. Todos los instrumentos deben llevarse a casa de la escuela todos los días para que los estudiantes practiquen. Por favor, no deje su instrumento en la escuela durante la noche.
