Highlights
Medieval Banquet & Joust: On Friday, Oct. 1 we will finish out our Middle Ages unit by having our own Banquet and Jousting Tournament.  THANK YOU for signing up to help!!  Students will need to dress up for this day, according to the role they are playing.  Please do not go out and spend money, but look around your home for something they can piece together.  More information about the day will be going home when we get closer to the date.
Christendom Simulation: Students continue to participate in the simulation, and can earn/lose farthings for their manors. Daily discussions and role play are taking place in class about this time period.  Ask your student!
Weekly Work (additional assignments may be added by teachers)
Current Events #3: Each Manor will be assigned a section of our Middle Ages Museum, which will be open to all ACA students, parents, and staff. Each Middle School student will need to create 2 archive projects for their assigned section of the Museum. Archive projects will need to be brought to class for feedback prior to setting them up in the Museum on ARCHIVE DAY. Work with your manors to vary the kind of project you create and to get a variety of topics and information covered. Due 9/24
Writing: Write a personal narrative. Due 9/9
Literature Book:
   1.  Read assigned chapters by Thursday.  Due 9/9
   2.  Do Reflection #3Due 9/10
   3.  Be ready to discuss chapters and do your assigned work for the Literature Circle. Due 9/9
    4.  Complete RJW #3Due 9/10
    5.  Quizzes on Fridays
Middle Ages Project:  Students should be almost finished with their presentations – ask your student to show you which slides they have completedPractice presentation is this Thursday.  Projects should be close to being completed with information on slides, so they can receive feedback from teachers. Formal presentations will start on 9/16
Math:  Daily assignments, including classwork & homework.  Assorted due dates, & assessments are usually on Fridays.
Science (Rockets): Weekly assignments, including classwork.  Assorted due dates
Passion Project:  yearlong project with assorted benchmarks/due dates.  Students are given an hour a week in class to work on this project.  Ask what their focus is on.
