Google Classroom: Thank you to those of you who have signed up. If you have not done so, please read the following to help get you started.
Students use Google Classroom to see all of their assignments for Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Parents will need to login to the student accounts to view the assignments. But, Google Classroom will send Guardian Reports daily or weekly to show you what students have missed and done. Christendom Simulation: Students have broken up into Manors, have chosen their Medieval names & occupations, and have now been given a task to transform Room 1 into a Medieval Castle. Daily discussions taking place in class about this time period. Ask your student!
Weekly Work (additional assignments may be added by teachers)
Current Events #2: Read the pdf on Feudalism. Answer questions #1 and # 2 on a document. You will receive extra credit if you do question #3. Due 9/3
Writing #2: Find an article related to our theme on Newsela (Middle Ages, Balance). Read & write a summary and teach the information found in your article to others. Bring this to class on Thursday and be prepared to share/teach it to others. Due 9/2
Literature Book:
1. Read assigned chapters by Thursday. Due 9/2
2. Do Reflection #2. Due 9/3
3. Be ready to discuss chapters and do your assigned work for the Literature Circle. Due 9/2
4. Complete RJW #2. Due 9/3
Middle Ages Project: Students should be researching and putting information into a Google Slide presentation. Practice presentation on 9/9. Projects should be close to being completed with information on slides, so they can receive feedback from teachers.
Math: Daily assignments, including classwork & homework. Assorted due dates
Science (Rockets): Weekly assignments, including classwork. Assorted due dates
Passion Project: yearlong project with assorted benchmarks/due dates. Students are to tell us if they will be working in a group/or individually, and what their focus will be. Ask
