Newsletter for Antioch Charter Academy/TLCS Families and Staff Volume 25, Issue 23, March 1, 2021
Hello ACA families!
We are already in March (where did the year go?!?) and we are getting ready to head into the third trimester. Today we wanted to update you on how things are going as well as some things that are coming up.
Wednesday Program Update:
The second round of belt testing will be happening for Personal Safety in May!
The material is posted and can be reviewed in the Wednesday google classroom to help students “study” for the test.
Keep an ear out for different options to complete the test.
Enrichment instructors are starting 2nd Trimester grades and sending back unfinished work in Google Classroom. Check your To-Do List’s “missing” tab next week for any assignments to resubmit for credit.
Assignments due: March 5th for Elementary & Intermediate, March 10th for Middle.
Wednesday teachers have sent email invitations to guardians from the Wednesday google classroom accepting the invitation will help you to stay on top of your child’s progress.
Thanks for all your participation and we can’t wait to see your work! If you have any questions, reach out to enrichment instructors directly via their school email (see attachment)
Young Authors Update:
Since things have been so crazy, we have had to shift some things around. The Young Authors date will be changing. Look for emails in the future from the classroom teachers giving more information about how we plan to execute the Young Authors project this year.
Report Card Conferences:
Report cards are looming on the horizon and teachers are working hard to get through all the work and assessments needed to provide an accurate picture of your student’s progress. You may be receiving an invitation for a zoom conference. If you do not receive one, but you would like to have a conference, email your child’s teacher with your request.
Look for more emails and updates as the year progresses!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hummel
Intermediate
