Important Information
All borrowed Intermediate materials (Chromebooks, books, etc.) must be returned to school on or before the last day of school. Students may need their Chromebooks for the last week of school, so please plan on returning them to school on the last day of school. Please let us know if you need other arrangements.
All student materials may be picked up on the last day of school. This means that teachers do not want to babysit Intermediate cubby stuff over the summer. Please plan on picking up those materials, if you haven’t done so already.
Bound Young Authors books can be picked up on the last day of school on June 4th. A copy will also be placed in their physical book, if they turned one in.
Report cards will be available for pick up on the last day of school! If you do not pick up your report card, it may be mailed to you or dropped off on your doorstep.

The following items are your work for this week:
The “Oreo Exchange” is happening on Flipgrid
The annual “Oreo Exchange” is an honored tradition among Intermediate students. It gives all students one last chance to appreciate and compliment their Intermediate family members. This year our Oreo exchange will be online.
Here are the steps:
Sign in with a Gmail account
Record a message for the Oreo Exchange – it must be less than 1 minute
Decide who you would like to compliment or appreciate. It can be more than one person or group of people, but it has to be less than one minute.
In class we use actual Oreos, but you can share anything virtually with your classmate (a cupcake, a Taki, a pencil, whatever is appropriate)
Say, “I would like to share part of my Oreo with ___________, for ___________.”
It’s kind of like a bucket slip. You have to say the person’s name and why you are sharing your Oreo with them. You might want to think of this ahead of time. YOU HAVE TO GIVE A REASON!
No put downs or inside jokes! Those are not allowed. All messages need to be compliments!
When you are done recording and have posted your message, you can watch all of the other student’s messages. You might want to check back on the last day of school for all the Oreo Exchange messages!
Intermediate Student Survey
We need all Intermediate students to take the student survey. It has a lot of questions, so be sure to give yourself enough time. If we were at school, we would be taking it all together! If you are in 5th or 6th grade, you took a similar survey last year.
Click on the link to take the survey! This survey is for students only and you may only take it once!

Letter to Next Year’s Class
Every year during the last week, each class writes a letter to the next year’s class about life in that grade level/the Intermediate classroom. Your letter needs to start with “Dear new ____ grade student,” and end with “Sincerely, _________” and you sign your name.
Your letter needs to be about a page long, so if you are typing it, use an 18 point font. You should include information about what it is like to live in that classroom, what it is like to be in that grade level, and what the student should expect for next year. 4th grade students are allowed to write about what all of Intermediate is like. 5th and 6th grade students need to write about 5th and 6th grade specifically. Include your favorite things that happened this year! Please be sure to stay school appropriate and there should be no put downs in your letter. Positive and helpful hints only!
