Middle School Students
Since the campus is closed, your student is welcome to come to campus and pick up their belongings on Fridays between 8 and 12.
ALL Assignments will be posted on google classroom Every student should check their Google Classroom “To Do” list OR their Calendar daily to make sure they are doing all of the assigned work.
FOR PARENTS: Mrs. McCutcheon and Mr. Hagan are still updating grades in Gradelink. Gradelink is the best place for parents to check student’s progress and performance in middle school. Please login to Gradelink. You can view each class to see what work is missing (noted with MIS) and the scores students receive on graded assignments. Blanks indicate that the teacher has not yet graded an assignment. You can also see upcoming assignments.

This week your only math assignment is to take an online math assessment. It has 40 – 45 questions. You can do it in one sitting OR break it into chunks on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. HERE IS THE CATCH: You must be on zoom with me while you take it. I must be able to see you or your work space, if you don’t want me to see your beautiful face. You will need scratch paper and a pencil to work out the problems.

Here are a few end of the year requests from Mrs. Vela:
–Send her a short, four minute or less, audio or video recording of you playing your instrument by Wednesday. Play a song you know well and something that shows new skills, such as the chromatic scale or an advanced piece.
–Join her Google Classroom at 65fmasi. There are suggestions for recording methods. Her new email address is: svela@antiochcharteracademy.org.
–Eighth graders – Turn in all school instruments, with your name, on or in, the case, plus all borrowed music books on Friday May 29. She will be in the Music Room #7 from 8:00 – 12:00 noon.
Join your high school band or orchestra. You are too talented to stop now!! She’ll miss you!! Watch for an envelope in the mail at your home, this week.
–7th graders – You may keep your instrument and books to practice over the summer, then the classes will continue next year. Practice!
