Middle School students

Since the campus is closed, your student is welcome to come to campus and pick up their belongings on Fridays between 8 and 12.

Memory Book order forms are out! Karyn Engle will be on campus every Friday collecting preorder forms with payment.  Last day for preorder forms with payment is Friday, May 15.  A limited number of books will be available afterwards for $35 CASH ONLY.

ALL Assignments will be posted on google classroom

Gradelink is the best place to check your student’s progress and performance in middle school.  Please login to Gradelink.  You can view each class to see what work is missing (noted with MIS) and the scores students receive on graded assignments.  Blanks indicate that the teacher has not yet graded an assignment.  You can also see upcoming assignments.

Every student should check their Google Classroom “To Do” list OR their Calendar daily to make sure they are doing all of your work.

Suggested Monday to Thursday Schedule:

8:30am – 10:00am Daily assignments from Mr. Hagan, CNN 10, and Moby Max Language

10:00am – 10:30am Break. Eat a snack and move your body!

10:30am – 12:00pm Math classwork and homework from Mrs. McCutcheon. Check your math calendar for and google classroom for descriptions.

12:00pm – 1:00pm Lunch and move your body! Log your PE time of at least 30 minutes daily.

1:00pm – 2:00pm SSR

2:00pm – 2:30pm work on science work for the week (go to google classroom for assignments)

2:30pm – 3:30pm Elective time! Practice your instrument. Do an art project. Learn a new language using Duolingo. Play a board game with your family. Practice typing. Mix and match daily!

The teachers will have virtual office hours where you can chat with us to get help or clarification on any assignments.   The link to Zoom and times will be put on google classroom in the stream.

The plan for Mrs. McCutcheon is to have a Zoom link for you to drop in between 10:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 2:00pm every day, Monday through Thursday.  And on Friday from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

The plan for Mr. Hagan is to have a Zoom link for you to drop in between 9:00am and 10:00am every day.  Send Mr. Hagan a message on google classroom and he will try to schedule an appointment on Zoom if you need another time.

MobyMax (10 minutes a day Monday-Thursday):
Students will login to MobyMax. They will click on the “Language” button and practice for 10 minutes each day Monday-Thursday. This weeks total is 40 minutes.

Genius Hour: Make a pitch!  This week you will be pitching your idea for genius hour to Mr. Hagan and Mrs. McCutcheon via zoom to get feedback and approval.  Go to https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f49a9aa23a0f85-genius to sign up for a 10 minute appointment.  Directions for the pitch are on google classroom.
