Dear ACA Families,


It’s a new day which means new opportunities to learn and grow!  Today, ACA shifts to distance learning. Teachers have been working diligently learning new online platforms and setting up real, meaningful learning opportunities for students.  You as parents, shift to supporting in home classrooms, setting up schedules, and figuring out Google Classroom and other online platforms. Students begin learning more through phones, and computers than ever before.  Our ACA Family comes together to do our best to create some normalcy, to continue learning, and to continue to be an amazing school.


Staff is looking forward to creating this new world with you!


For at least the next 2 weeks,  the ACA office will be open Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The office will be open for business. Teachers will offer printed materials and other school supplies, plus time for families to drop off completed packets and printed materials during this window.  Work directly with your classroom teachers on this feedback loop.


We had a very successful chrome book sign out and material pick-up last Friday. We have another window open today from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm.  Please come to get student materials today, March 23rd.


Teachers will be reaching out to you first by email—let them know you are ok and share with them your hopes for learning.  If they do not hear from you through email, they will reach out by phone. We would like to have students connect with their teachers each day, but at least once per week.


Each level is offering opportunities from paper packets, to rewatchable video lessons, to live lessons. Teachers are offering recommendations of daily schedules. Teachers are offering live help multiple times throughout the school day.  They are working to create a system for all students and families. Remember we are open to what you need, so feel free to collaborate with your teachers to create schooling for your student(s).

If you have not already done so, please sign up for Classtag!  Make sure to choose texting as your delivery choice. Our school will be using Classtag even more to get news to the parents.

Free School Lunches: AUSD is offering ‘grab and go’ meals for all students under 18 years old at the following sites/times (M-F):

Marsh Elementary: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Deer Valley High School: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
