Trimester 3 electives teachers needed!

We need volunteers to supervise/teach electives for our 4th-8th grade students. This is a vital part of our program allowing students to enjoy and be introduced to varied experiences. Some past popular electives and new ideas include: outdoor sports, board games, photography, recycle art, drama, woodworking, gardening, ultimate Frisbee, cooking, special effects makeup, filmmaking/editing, costume design, theater, zumba, foreign language, fun with science, fundraising, singing, yoga, volleyball, sign-language, origami, escape room design, ukulele instruction and video game design. We encourage new ideas too!

If you have a special talent you are willing to share or can supervise an activity on one of our elective days, please let us know ASAP.  Electives are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:00-3:00. 3rd trimester electives will run from March 16th through May 21st.

Science Fair Packets

Science Fair packets went home on Feb. 14th.  The packet includes all of the due dates, check lists and descriptions to guide students through the process.  In our room 3 library,  we have many books full of simple science fair project ideas. In addition, there are many great websites such as Science Buddies that are helpful. The first assignment is due this week; it is the Science Planning sheet. It must be reviewed by Mrs. Gonzalez and approved.  Attached to this newsletter is an electronic version of the science fair packet.
