WEEK OF MARCH 2, 2020
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES-MARCH
All parents will be getting an email from Sign Up Genius, to pick a time for a conference the week of March 9.
Emails from Sign Up Genius were sent home before break. Please be on the lookout for this email and check your SPAM folder if needed. If you have not received an email, please let the teachers know.
Parents may also use classroom computers to sign up for a conference if they wish.
ACA LOTTERY FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
Any siblings that are currently not enrolled, but that are eligible to attend TK-8 grade next school year, will need to have an application filled out and turned into the office by Monday, March 2, 2020.
Any siblings of students that are currently enrolled at ACA do get a preference on the lottery list, but will still need to be on the lottery list.
FAMILY NETWORK MEETING-THURSDAY
Family Network Meetings are the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in Room 4 at 3:00 on the ACA campus.
The board welcomes and encourages all ACA families to attend the meetings. The meetings are not just for board members, but for all ACA family members.
FREE child care can be provided by Middle School students for parents who RSVP to the meeting in advance.

CHARTER COUNCIL MEETING-THURSDAY
Charter Council Meetings are the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in Room 4 at 4:00 on the ACA campus on Hacienda Way.
The meetings are open to the public, and all families are invited to come and see how the Charter Council operates.
READ TO SUCCEED-ONLINE READING LOGS
The Six Flags Read to Succeed has gone digital! Each year, students in grades K-6 can earn a free Six Flags admission ticket by reading for 6 hours. Each student has received a reading log and an online code to input their hours. Students who are unable to go online to input their hours may instead turn in their reading logs to the teachers.
WALK A THON
The Annual Walk-a-Thon will be on Wednesday, March 25. Students will be bringing home an information packet about the Walk, and how they can collect pledges to help raise money for ACA.
Families and friends are encouraged to come out and support the students while they walk.
Families will also have opportunities to help volunteer time and/or donate supplies for the Walk. Please visit our TrackitForward page to sign up to help.
Primary will walk at 11, and Elementary will walk at 12:45.
BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS
The Book Fair in April is in need of volunteers. Please go to www.trackitforward.com and look for the Book Fair event sign ups for
April 27-May 1. All volunteer sign ups will be done electronically. If you have any questions, please email acafamilynetwork@
The 2nd ACA/ACA II Family Formal will be held Friday, April 3 at 5:30 at ACA II. Tickets will be $10 for one adult AND one child. Or $5 for one adult OR one child. All grade levels are welcome. Attire is formal, or semi-formal, or whatever you are comfortable in!
The money for the tickets will go directly back to the dance in the form of snacks, drinks, and decorations.
TIME CHANGE-SUNDAY, MARCH 8
Sunday, March 8 is Daylight Saving Time. All clocks move forward by 1 hour. Spring Forward!
MINIMUM DAYS-MARCH 9-13
The entire week of March 9 will be a minimum day schedule. ALL students will come to school at 8:15 and will be released at 12:00. Lunch will still be available on minimum days.
