Humanities:
- Vocabulary Assignment – Unit Final next week (M or T – TBD)
- Current Events Assignments#2-3: 2 Archive projects “Museum Quality”; due Friday
- Writing Assignment – see Writer’s Workshop
- Literature Book – Unit Final on Thursday, Oct 3rd
- Reflections & Golden Lines (based on Literature book) – none this week
- RJW (based on free choice book – none this week
- Writer’s Workshop – work on portfolio
- Passion Project – researching and working through requirements
- In class instructions & possible additional assignments
Math:
- Math Homework (CPM/Other) – every day
- MobyMax and/or Khan: 45 minutes a week, due on Mondays
- Fact Fluency: 20 minutes a week (until tested out), due on Fridays
- Fridays: math quizzes
- In class instructions & possible additional assignments
Middle Ages Project: Be ready to present; Pre 2 (9/24), Regular (9/26). Ask your student which day they will be presenting! Unit Final on Thursday, Oct 3rd
Science: Physics (Force in Motion) – in class assignments, journaling, & labs; Unit Final next week on their Science Day (M, T, or Th)
EE – Big Break
- This Friday, September 20 – EE Program at Big Break from 9:45~12pm – Group B: Christopher, Gabriel, Luis, Zaire, Gage, Aaron, Sarah, Laila, Apple, Maryam, Peyton, Atticus, Carter, Manvi. Drivers: Mr. Gonzalez & Mrs. Pope.

Other Important Information:
- Medieval Banquet on Friday, Oct 4th. THANK YOU to all the parents who signed up! Please send in the items that morning (10/4). Also THANK YOU to Mr. & Mrs. Corrion, Mr. & Mrs. Bordges, and Mr. Isenbarger for volunteering to help with the banquet!
- 8th Grade Girls “Empowerment Project” on Tuesday, October 15th from 8:30~1:30pm. At CCC Fairgrounds. Lunch included.
- Wednesday, October 16th 8:50~2:30pm study trip to Mondavi Center/UC Davis to hear NASA Astronaut Terry Virts give his presentation, “A View From Above”. Afterwards, we will have a short walk around UC Davis, then eat our sack lunches. This trip will tie into our next humanities & science units. Thank you to Mrs. MacCallister, Mrs. Kaifi, Mrs. Cruz, Mr. Bordges, Mrs. Carrillo, and Mrs. Moon for driving.
