Other Important Information:
  • On Wednesday, October 16th, we are driving to the Mondavi Center/UC Davis to hear NASA Astronaut Terry Virts give his presentation, “A View From Above”.  Terry Virts was a pilot of the space shuttle Endeavor, a crew member on a Russian spacecraft, and a commander of the International Space Station.  Afterwards, we will have a short walk around UC Davis, then eat our sack lunches.  We need drivers for this trip!  We will need you here at 8:50am, and we are aiming to be back by 2:30pm (depending on traffic). You must be able to take a minimum of 4 students in your car (if more…great!)  We can take up to 9 drivers for this trip.  Please email us if you can go, and let us know how many students you can carry.  If we get more then 9 drivers who are interested, we will draw names. This trip will tie into our next humanities & science units.
