Our Mission

The mission of the Antioch Charter Academies is to facilitate academic and personal growth of TK‐8th grade students of all socio‐economic levels and ethnic backgrounds. ACA enables 21st century students to become literate, self‐motivated, innovative, lifelong learners, and compassionate, collaborative active citizens. We nurture and support a partnership of students, teachers, families and the community; embrace individual strengths; and build upon research informed educational best practices including Montessori, multiple intelligences, brain‐compatible teaching, and multi‐age groupings with small class sizes

Our Vision

To provide a learning environment where students of all socio‐economic levels and ethnic backgrounds embrace education, exhibit compassion, and accept personal responsibility

Did you know?

Last year as part of our ongoing WASC process, the staff, students, and parents at ACA II all collaborated on updating our Graduate goals.  Check them out below!

ACA II Graduate Goals

By the end of 8th grade, students will demonstrate and apply mastery of the academic content by following the code of the CHEETAHS:

Communicate effectively with others orally and in writing.

Honor and show respect to everyone including self.

Envision yourself as a compassionate and active citizen.

Embrace the life skills and lifelong guidelines.

Take control by organizing materials and self.

Acquire knowledge of the world including interests and passions.

Have time management and work independently.

Set and accomplish goals.

Suicide Prevention Resources

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Each year ACA I & II staff undergo Suicide Prevention training. Adolescent suicide is the second leading cause of death among the ages of 10-19. Our staff learns the risk factors and warning signs for teen suicide as well what to do if a student tells you that they or someone they know is thinking of suicide. We will be distributing information throughout the year to families about suicide prevention and resources. Here are a few of the best resources we found. The Contra Costa Crisis Center information can also be found on the Family Handbook page of our website!

Very Important Carpool Information

Please remember to Park in the gravel lot to the left when you drive in.  The right side near the fence where the No Parking signs are is our walking path.  It’s not safe for our student to walk in the street around the cars who have been parking there.  Attached is our carpool map for you to review.  The white lines on the paved street is for the flea market, not a guide for you to park your car next to.  Please park on the gravel not the street.  Please share this with whoever picks up your student from school.

PEP Family Survey!

PEP (Parent Education Program) meetings are for parents and families to learn and understand more about the programs and philosophies at our school.
Please take 5 minutes to let teachers know which Parent Education Program you would be interested in attending or viewing online. Also help us figure out the best time for these kinds of events. Access the survey here

Absences & Tardies

It is extremely important that your student is in school every day, and arrives on time.  If though your student is sick, or will arrive late because of an unexpected delay, please call the office, or email your student’s classroom and office by 8am.  Students who arrive after 8:15am must be walked into the office by the driver, and signed in.  All of these “rules” are in place to help keep your student safe!  Contact information is below.  Thank you!

Email Address Changed

Please see below for all the new email address for our school.

If you have an absence to clear please email the level address and copy the office.
