Week #3 Middle Ages

Humanities:
- Vocabulary Assignment – use Vocab procedures #3; due Wednesday
- Current Events Assignments#2 & 3 – 2 Archive projects “Museum Quality”; each Manor will create 2 projects for their assigned area of our museum; final projects are due Sept. 27 but will have check-in due dates for class/teacher feedback
- Current Event Assignment Reading & Response: Read “3 Field System” pdf then answer question; due Wednesday
- Writing Assignment – see Writer’s Workshop
- Literature Book Reading Assignment – read assigned chapters in “Crispin”
- Reflections & Golden Lines (based on Literature book) – #3 due on Friday
- RJW (based on free choice book – none this week
- Writer’s Workshop – write a persuasive essay; due next week during your WW (Tuesday or Thursday)
- Passion Project – researching and working through requirements
- In class instructions & possible assignments
Math:
- Math Homework (CPM/Other) – every day
- In class instructions & possible assignments
- MobyMax and/or Khan: 45 minutes a week, due on Mondays
- Fact Fluency: 20 minutes a week, due on Fridays
- Fridays: math quizzes
Middle Ages Project: Practice Presentation on Friday – project should be almost done and ready to practice with a teacher for feedback; final presentation day is on September 26th.
Science: Physics (Force in Motion) – in class assignments, journaling, & labs
Other Important Information!
- If you have not done so, please return the “One Study Trip Permission Form” ASAP letting us know if you want to participate in this option ($95), or if you want to do Individual permission forms. We will not accept forms passed this Friday, September 6th.
- Our EE Program at Big Break will begin on Friday, September 13th. Please look for the email from SignUp Genius to get details, and to see how you can help! If you have chosen to receive Individual Permission Forms, you will need to fill one out for your student to participate. These forms will go home on Friday, September 6th and will be due on Monday, September 9th.
- Mark your calendar: our first study day trip will be on October 16th to the Mondavi Center/UC Davis. More information will be emailed home next week.
