Our Mission

The mission of the Antioch Charter Academies is to facilitate academic and personal growth of TK‐8th grade students of all socio‐economic levels and ethnic backgrounds. ACA enables 21st century students to become literate, self‐motivated, innovative, lifelong learners, and compassionate, collaborative active citizens. We nurture and support a partnership of students, teachers, families and the community; embrace individual strengths; and build upon research informed educational best practices including Montessori, multiple intelligences, brain‐compatible teaching, and multi‐age groupings with small class sizes

Our Vision

To provide a learning environment where students of all socio‐economic levels and ethnic backgrounds embrace education, exhibit compassion, and accept personal responsibility

Positive Discipline

One of the philosophies at the core of our Charter is Positive Discipline, based on the work of Dr. Jane Nelson.  Positive Discipline stresses that every person, adult and child both, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.  Every person needs to feel a sense of belonging and significance.  There are many components to Positive Discipline that you will see in our school, including classroom meetings that give everyone a voice and a place to learn how to solve problems, life skill lessons, and practicing procedures and routines to be sure everyone clearly understands what is expected of them.  All staff members, including teachers, aides, and pupil supervisors participated in a full day Positive Discipline training before the first day of school.  For more information, please go to

What is 2nd Cup of Coffee?

The first Friday school day of each month, 2nd Cup of Coffee meets in Room 6 after morning drop off.  Parents and families have a chance to connect with other families and get to know more about our school community.  The Family Network provides coffee and breakfast snacks, and shares upcoming events planned at our school.  One or more teachers attend to share updates or explain a bit about school philosophies.  Small children are welcome to come too!

The first 2nd Cup meets this Friday, September 6th.

Lifetouch Pictures

Picture day is September 10.  Order forms went home today.  We do have more in the office or you can go to to order. The picture day ID is BY119102Q0

Please remember that we have limited microwaves at school.  Please keep the heated lunches to a minimum and if your student does bring one in keep it to less than 1 minute to heat.

Parking on Fridays

The fairgrounds have a Friday night Flea Market through September.  They will be setting up in the parking lot starting about 2:30pm.  If you park to pick up your student please be mindful of the time and exit the parking lot before 2:30pm.

Absences & Tardies

It is extremely important that your student is in school every day, and arrives on time.  If though your student is sick, or will arrive late because of an unexpected delay, please call the office, or email your student’s classroom and office by 8am.  Students who arrive after 8:15am must be walked into the office by the driver, and signed in.  All of these “rules” are in place to help keep your student safe!  Contact information is below.  Thank you!
