Thank you, Mrs. Martin, for the Burrito Lunch!
Everyone who ordered enjoyed a fun treat for Monday’s lunch. Because AUSD had a holiday on Monday, no hot lunch was available. Many of us had a tasty burrito lunch thanks to Mrs. Martin, our awesome fundraiser committee chair.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!
Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holiday’s. Younger students enjoyed making valentine pouches and exchanging valentines with their classmates.

WASC Update
Our WASC report was mailed out last week. We would love to share all the final results and findings on March 1 at 6:00PM. Please plan to attend this special PEP. Refreshments will be served. The meeting will be in the Music Room.

Our WASC visit is March 25, 26, 27 & 28. Mr. Tim Lopez from Sanger Unified School District is our Chair who will be leading the accreditation process.

Middle School Interviews
We have been interviewing candidates for a middle school teacher replacement. Mr. Dalander has been substituting for us and has done a great job. He is already committed to a prior placement and will return to the middle school aide position soon. We will be sharing our final placements and choices. Thank you for all your patience and support.

All School Fieldtrip
Check your email for information about the Percussion Discussion Field trip. It is a Whole School field trip and we will need volunteer drivers. The timing is a little awkward with February break next week so if you can get the permission slip, money and auto insurance info to the office before break it would be much appreciated. Paper permission slips will go home tomorrow. It is also possible to fax your forms to the office. Thanks for your help!

Cultural Day
Don’t forget to sign up to have a booth for Cultural Day. We only have nine booths confirmed right now. It is a fun and educational day for everyone. The kids will take a journey around the world and learn about other cultures that they may not have known about. We have a diverse community and this helps to give them a more global perspective. Learning about other cultures not only opens up their world socially but could help them approach problems differently and see that there isn’t always just one solution.
Since we will be on break next week, please sign-up prior so we know how many countries will be represented. This also gives you some time to prepare. Please consider sharing your culture with the children. Don’t hesitate to contact at mimi_kessler@yahoo.comme with any questions.

Parent Day at American Montessori Conference
The Family Network will provide a stipend of $25 for the first 5 spots. The cost of the registration is $75.
The individuals that attend will be asked to provide an overview of learning’s at a future PEP meeting in April or May. Email Halle Coretti at coretti@sbcglobal.net to confirm your spot; first come first serve for the stipend.
Pre-registration closes Feb. 17th.
WHEN: Friday, March 16th 8am – 5:30pm (There is NO SCHOOL this date).
WHERE: San Francisco Marriott Marquis
WHAT: Enhance your understanding of the Montessori approach in the classroom and home with a special line-up of events, targeted especially for current and potential Montessori parents interested in children and education. The program will also provide a forum for thoughtful discussion of hot-button topics related to raising children in today’s world.
