Reminder
Please have your child wear appropriate foot wear on Fridays. Students engage in activities in Personal Safety and PE that need them to have proper support to their feet.
WASC
The WASC self study document is complete and ready to send to the team who will be working with our school. A copy will be in the office after February 9.
Uno’s Dinner Night Out
Friday is our Uno’s fundraiser. Dine-in with friends or takeout. Either way Uno’s will donate up to 20% of your check to our school when you present the coupon. I have attached a page with 4 coupons. Feel free to give to friends, neighbors and family to use, but handing them out to strangers in the parking lot is a no-no. Contact the office if you are unable to print.
Volunteer opportunity!
Come join the Clean Team Friday 2/10 from 1-3pm to clean the Primary and Elementary classroom. Please check in to the office when you arrive and sign in the Volunteer Log. We hope to see you Friday.
February 13
School is in session on Monday, February 13. Remember to send in the order form by this Friday for the Burrito lunch on that day.
February Break
ACA II begins break on February 20 and we return on Monday, February 27.
Intermediate Trout Project
The trout eggs hatched early! Intermediate science students will be releasing the trout on March 7 at Contra Loma. Other activities will take place on campus later in March.
Auto Insurance
Most of the transportation for our field trips is provided by parents and guardians who graciously help by including additional students in their cars. Most field trips could not happen any other way. Before we can arrange students in cars we must have proof of insurance for these drivers. If you think you will drive for any field trip during the year please provide the office with a copy of your Declaration page showing $100,000 / $300,000 liability coverage. Please do not wait until the permission slip is due. The teachers have a short time frame and it can be a struggle to find enough seats for all students if we do not know for sure who has appropriate insurance.
Walkathon / Silent Auction Letter
An email went out earlier without the attachment so I have attached it here. Print a few (or request from the office) and keep in your car. You never know when you will run across someone willing to help.
Empty Ink Cartridges
Please think of us before you toss those empties. It helps the school lower the cost of all the printing we must do when we are able to recycle them. Turn them in to the office anytime.
