Dear ACA Families,
I wanted to share something that happened to me last week. I was attending a combined staff meeting last Wednesday at Antioch Charter Academy II, as I do on the last Wednesday of every month. When to my surprise, I turned to the door and four ACA middle school students confidently walked in, their names were Charlie Brody, Kevin Collins, Mason Krey and Caleb Aumann. They were coming in to train the teachers on a computer program we were all using. I was so impressed with their confidence, as they easily spoke to more than 20 teachers and presented step by step, how to use the computer software. They were at ease answering questions. As I straightened my papers getting ready for my own presentation to the staff, I thought to myself, that this school offers so much more to students than academics, it truly prepares each student for life.
Carpool Reminder
It is important to remember that pick up time is 3:00 every day but Wednesday. We have noticed that children are not coming directly to carpool. Some children are going to the black top after school and playing. The teachers are giving students reminders at school to go directly to carpool. We would appreciate it, if they were given additional reminders at home. It is also important to pick children up as soon as school has ended. There is no supervision for students after school hours.

Box Tops for Education
Don’t forget to turn in your General Mills Box Tops for Education. There is a can provided in the office and every box top is worth cash for our school. Before you throw away any packaging, be sure to cut out the box top first. They can be found on food products (General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, etc), storage bags (Ziploc), paper products (Kleenex, Scott) and so many more!
